This is Part One of my facelift update. What you’re about to see is the raw, real-time footage I recorded while recovering in Thailand — 14 days of healing, swelling, bruising, and figuring it out as I went.

I’m 57 (56 when I had the surgery), and after years of feeling like my reflection didn’t match how I felt inside, I finally made the decision to have a facelift. This video shows what the recovery process really looks like — no filters, no fluff. I’ve edited it down to just the highlights from each day, with a few tips included for anyone considering surgery overseas.

There’s a content warning early on — some of the images are graphic, because recovery is graphic.

Part Two will be my six-month update, where I’ll answer the big questions:
Would I do it again? Was it worth it? What surprised me? And what would I do differently?
