MLBPA Interim Executive Director Bruce Meyer joins A.J. Pierzynski, Erik Kratz and Scott Braun to discuss the state of negotiations between the players and owners and why he says the two sides remain “worlds apart” on the core economic issues. Meyer pushes back on claims surrounding MLB’s proposed salary cap system, explains why the union believes the proposal would result in players earning less money and details the MLBPA’s alternative ideas for revenue sharing and helping small-market teams compete. He also addresses fan concerns about competitive balance, ticket prices and blackouts, while explaining how the union is approaching the possibility of a future work stoppage.

The Milwaukee Bucks decided to put all their games on over the air tv, for free. I am unsure if they are buying the airtime from the TV stations, then producing everything themselves and selling commercials, or if they had a old fashioned bidding war between each tv market (Milwaukee, Madison, Green Bay, Wausau, eau claure )
It’s something to keep an eye on, that’s for sure.
