This guy has one of the healthiest mindsets. I love that his passion to motivate others is almost just as strong as his passion for bodybuilding, if not just as. Just goes to show how any level of fitness or strength training not only builds you physically, but also mentally. We learn about dedication, challenge, goal setting, being committed and many other things that can actually be applied to LIFE ITSELF.
When I decided to lose weight in 2017, I ended up losing 90 lbs in 11 months, about 110 lbs overall in about 18 months. The character building required for me to pull that off improved the rest of my life. The discipline I acquired was able to be applied to my finances, increasing my savings and greatly decreasing my debt. This discipline and confidence also led me back to college where I'm now a registered nurse making in 3 (12 hour) days what I used to have to work two 40 hr weeks to make.
I'm now working on my bachelor degree. I wasn't planning on it, but every time I conquer a new level, the next level that I once feared doesn't seem as scary anymore.
I don’t think it’s likely to happen anytime soon but I would love to see Sam on JRE. He’s got such a great outlook on life and is very eloquent at describing it, I think him and Joe would get along very well
25:42 one of my favorite car talks. Judgement of the world causes hatred of the internal self. Allowing oneself to observe the world instead of criticizing it is such a beautiful thing when philosophizing. When we judge others, negativity seeps into our routine and regular habits. It’s a reflection of how we see ourselves and initiation of anxiety. If you actively dislike a certain group (within moral reason), anxiety arises within you as you ask yourself “I’ve judged others doing something different, therefore I’ll be judged for doing something different.” This mentality causes conformity and lack of purpose to an individual as they follow the crowd, afraid to be perceived in following an interest. The constant paranoia of judgement is an easy trap to fall into, especially when conformity is a learned expectation of your internal mentality.
In short, an overlooked piece of life advice by Sam that creates true enlightenment. “Stop judging the world, and start observing its offering.”
