To enter Tijuana, you either need Passport OR Passport card.
I also have Sentri / Global Entry. This will save you hours waiting in line😊 well worth having.

At 17:40 I used to go there as a kid with my dad. All those shops sold stained glass back in the late 1990s/early 2000s. The fountain area was so full with people and so alive. All those shops were open. The building with the colorful painting was a restaurant that was covered in $1 bills on the inside. The wax museum is awesome. Thanks for the cool video

You gotta take the public taxi/mini bus one of these days to El Centro. It is only 15-20 pesos.

The wife and I went to the Museo de Cera / Wax Museum two weeks ago when we visited Tijuana.
It's no Madame Tussauds, but a small building with interesting features.
Well worth the Mex $50 pesos / US $3 dollars. Bonus - The bathrooms are clean and no extra charge.

San Diego used to allow military 18 year olds to drink  beer at base clubs to try to stop young sailors from visiting Tijuana in order to bypass the 21 year old age limit in California. But a passport wasn't required to cross the border back then.

You should be aware that the parking lot with the "$30" sign was actually quoting you the price per hour in PESOS, not US dollars. The 30 pesos is currently the equivalent of around $1.75 per hour.

So I went to Tijuana when stationed at Coronado ,, but I see it's really changed since 1981

Right at around 11:00 minute mark in the video you see a guy selling goodies. If you walk straight ahead you will see bus companies. You can take bus to Ensenada from there. I think one way fare may be around $10 USD. It is a trip worth taking. Hope you can make video of that trip some day.

Do you have video of coming back to US from Tijuana via the Ped walkway using your Sentri/GE card?

It looks like you can take electric scooters inside ? How about bringing them back?
