Imagination & Emotion was fantastic, and next years sounds to be as special! I love the idea of the classes beforehand!

The new retreat sounds amazing!!! Love Jane Backhouse - the colors look unique and it's a nice size. Dottie's cuteness helps in those challenging moments!

So glad you’ve done a Flosstube.  You’ve been missed!  Dottie is adorable!  It was wonderful to see you at Hobby House.
!

That retreat sounds amazing.   Your new fur baby is adorable! Nice to see you today on YouTube. Im a Christmas fan ; the fabric panel is gorgeous.

Gorgeous Dottie. Beautiful sampler with gorgeous stitches. Thank you for sharing

Great to see your video, Nicola. That Jane Backhouse is a special sampler - I have been working on it recently, having received it last year at the Swindon event. Imagination and Emotion was totally splendid in every way! Thanks for everything (and Dottie is very cute)!

Dottie sure is a handful! Imagination and Emotion was a wonderful experience. You three ladies do outstanding presentations. I look forward to New Lands, Old Traditions. Safe travels.

Loved seeing your little mischief maker! ❤ It was so wonderful to be among the attendees at Imagination & Emotion and hope you have a great trip to Williamsburg and my home state before I see you again in Arizona for Sampler Symposium. I was able to spend time at Liberty Hill last year and the shop is great, and so are Sue and her team. Can’t wait to get my silk pack and project bag panel. Jane’s sampler is a stunner. ❤

For your peace of mind, and Dottie's safety-- you can train a dog to be content in a kennel near you using only positive reinforcement. If you dislike the idea of a kennel, even though dogs are den animals, you can train a dog to chill on a place cot. I have a doberman and these skills were life changing, especially in puppyhood. There are many YouTube videos showing you how to do it. It took my dog about 1 week to stay on the cot where I put her. Same for the kennel, which we don't use anymore because she is three and (mostly) keeps her mouth to herself.

Nicola-the Imagination and Emotion retreat was one of the best retreats I have ever attended!!! You, Rae and Kathleen outdid yourselves!! I am looking forward to New Lands, Old Traditions!!!! Dottie is an adorable handful!!!

I LOL while watching as I too have a new puppy, about six months old and I tell him the same thing. My stitching has decreased by a lot, we are also looking after another six month old puppy.😂
The retreat sounds wonderful.
Beautiful new sampler as usual. Glad to see you again.

love this one! and while I was watching I ordered not only the sampler (download), but also contacted Linda and told her I wanted a project bag! That fabric looks very similar to the types of Christmas cards I send...see what you do to my wallet? :-D

So nice to see a video from you! It was a pleasure to see you at Hobby House. It was a lot of fun. I look forward to seeing you in 2027!

Oh my goodness! Look how big she got!!

I had a wonderful time at the retreat and am looking forward to next year! I am laughing watching Dottie.  We have a young miniature Schnauzer and she does not listen either.  We often say it's this new generation of pups!  We are going to have her trainer come back. Lol.  Love watching and wish I was a good sewer I love the bags.

Hi Nicola, it's  lovely to have you back with us, with regards to Dottie chewing things try putting a drop of pure lavender oil on the thing she is likely to chew, very often that will stop it as they hate the smell/taste of the lavender. It has to be pure oil though and only in small amounts. Hope this helps, best wishes  Fi xx

I feel for you. Dottie is a handful. I have a little mini Doxy. Who is now about a year and a half old. And he is incessantly chewing on something. And the thing about it is he knows he’s done something wrong. When he sees me, he runs and hides. And I’m like you I don’t like to yell I don’t like to do anything physical. But I have admit that I have gotten a rather loud several times. One thing that he does is go straight for my stitching. Whatever project it is and several have been ruined, to just the threads. His favorite is the threads. And he waits for me to need to run to the restroom. So I tried to hold off on that until they are the times when he was out outside in the yard. But anyway, we had almost daily encounters over this and it’s not slowing down. I have never in my life had a dog that did this. It and I’ve always had dogs. And so what I have decided I’m going to have to do is crate train him. Our weather here is very extreme both in summer and in midwinter. If I go somewhere, I am not going to be able to just leave him in the house or even out in the backyard. So I am going to have to crate train them. I should’ve done this early on I just never had a dog I had to crate train I trained them to do certain to do certain things. My sister-in-law used to have a dog the same breed as yours. As Dottie. And that dog chewed up doors all kinds of things. And finally when it reached about three years old, that’s when it finally stopped. But that’s when she started crate training her dogs and now the dogs love their ““ dens“. And they love sleeping there if there’s a thunderstorm, they automatically go get in them. So I am ordering some that look like furniture and end tables and one for each of my dogs and we’re going to see how this works out. Because this little Doxy, even though he does, these things, he is the most lovable dog. He was born, missing an eye due to a breeder with unethical breeding practices, and we will leave that at that. and one side of his face is misshapen. So he can’t see on that side. Of his body so he falls he’s really clumsy, and then he’s got this kind of goofy look that he gets on his face like when he then he’ll turn his head back and just stare at me like he adores me more than anything in the world. And I love him. So we’re gonna work our way through this.

Good Morning ❤❤❤
