I looked up Ward & read his sentence had been reduced to life w/o parole. Hard to imagine the families having to deal with so much violence.

The woman who went to buy paint from Pomallero is a HERO!  Talk about, "if you see something, say something"!

Karen Taylor ,you're an amazing forensic artist  , and you do an excellent job of drawing people,  and you deserve a trophy ,keep up the good work. You draw so awesome and I admire your art skills.

And it's a fire code violation to use an extension cord as permanent power.

This wasn't in Prescott Valley.  It was in the Prescott Country Club, which is in Dewey, AZ.  I have lived here since I was four (56 years ago). I rode the school bus down that road every day through elementary and jr. high school.  I can see the place in my head so clearly!

The sad thing is, for being from an area that was so small back then, when homicides were seldom heard of, this is the second one I have seen that was on a crime TV show in the last two days.  Although, the other one was featured on cold cases. It was the case about Pamela Pitts and how they finally were able to confirm their main suspect from the start, Shelly (Norgardĺ Harmon), was the one who did it.  By then, it was her second conviction. She'd already spent 20 years in prison for killing her boyfriend, by the time she was convicted. She went to the same high school that I did.

James Ray Ward, who brutally murdered a pregnant Villanow woman three decades ago, will avoid the death penalty thanks to a deal his lawyers worked out with state prosecutors.

Ward killed Nikia Gilbreath and her unborn child in August 1989. He was convicted of homicide, kidnapping, and feticide in 1991 and sentenced to die.

A deputy's error during the trial caused his original sentence to be kicked out in 2010. Now he's set to spend the rest of his life behind bars without facing the needle.

Awesome series amazing detective work keep up the great work

Famalaro is still sitting on Death Row on Dec 2024....25 years later...!!
Also the details of the crime were FAR worse than outlined here.. !!

I love how they make it “spooky” and “suspicious” that he (or anyone) didn’t just chat it up with the cops.

Do not talk to cops. Request a lawyer and STFU. Never talk to cops without a lawyer representing you.

I saw coverage on this year's ago but didn't remember deputy uniforms ! 😮

I felt I was watching Shawshank's Redemption again

That's the question.  Why did he go through all that trouble to keep a dead body.?.

Hello all N.D., F.F., and C.C. friends!

How did people not know that a Ryder truck sitting so long not be suspicious? When Ryder sells their retired trucks the decals are removed before they release them. The Forensic Files episode has actual footage of the parked truck with all the decals still on it. It was not in a subdivision as shown.
Denise had swell parents. They appeared on the Forensic Files version.
Karen Taylor has a special skill in that she can put a face on a skull.  She delivered well here. She solved two cases on Forensic Files.
So Paul Wesley Taylor killed a man for a few dollars in a washer coin box? At least his girlfriend turned on him and did what was right.

That's not the Arizona desert.
If he had been tried in arizona, he would have been executed.

Who the hell wears a shirt, business slacks, tie and smart shoes to go to a concert? Don't know about you but I'd be wearing jeans, t shirt and trainers 😊

33:48  Life with or w/o parole ?

This show is riveting and mum knew nothing about her serial killer son then?

So let me get this straight you go to someone’s house see paint cans and get suspicious wtf 😂
