I've never heard anyone say they hate the c3 lol

My grandfather had a red 1972 Corvette 454 V8. As a kid of the 1980s and a teenager of the 1990s I loved driving around in that car to go get a hamburger and ice cream with my Grandpa. Sadly, he passed in 1996 but my Uncle got his Corvette and has it to this day.

The  C3 have always been the most beautiful Corvette.   They have that distinctive look, those wonderful  curves, buleges and swooshes,  unlike current Corvettes that just look like European supercars.

Back in ‘85 I bought a 1976 C3. Mine was chocolate brown, with an L-82 350 linked to an automatic transmission. It also had t-tops and matching brown leather interior. It wasn’t fast but there was never a day that it didn’t make me smile as I rolled out of my driveway. I loved my C3.

I've got a 78 Corvette, modified engine and upgraded to a 700R4 transmission. In stock form, it was slow, but so was the case for everything of that era. Now, it's awesome and the styling of the car is unmistakable! I love it. Build quality is in line with most cars of the era. Just enjoy the quirks and have fun!

These guys crack me up with these history lessons of cars that literally nobody ever hated 😂

I love these cars! I've had 4 of them, 69,73,76 and 79. I've only kept one of them which is a 69 L68 427 4 speed roadster, N14 sidepipe car. I'm currently in the process of restoring it.👍

They had their quirks but 'hate'?  I think they enjoy being up there with the most beautiful and recognizable of the vets.

Beautiful cars, good design that still holds up!

Bad?? I was 14 in 1968 and working at my dad’s Phillips 66  service station after school and week ends. There was a SAC base nearby and a Naval shipyard also. Plenty of officers with some GREAT cars! Firebirds, Camaros and tons of Mopars would come in. It was HEAVEN! My favorite was Grecian Green with Buckskin interior. It was GORGEOUS!!! And with the 427 4 speed stick, 11:14 it could move! And sounded great. If I remember, the owner was a USAF Colonel. Chevy made high compression V8s until 1970.

My favorite is the 68 to 72.with the front and rear chrome bumpers

Im calling BS on the people "hate" title.

The chrome front and rear bumper C-3 corvettes have always been the best looking body style for the corvette to me.

I have owned a 79 L82 4spd blk over white for 25years now and still drool over it !

I love the look of c3 with chrome bumpers.

My favorite musical genius--Jimi Hendrix--owned two C3 Vettes...That says it all for me!

My Mom's best friend had a '73 t-top with glass packs when I was little.  I would ride on the shelf in back.  That car sounded so good looking back, but my favorite thing, the door handles to get in.

After driving hand me downs from my family I finally bought my first car in the year 2000 - a 1977 Corvette. I loved it so much it's how I got the "Mako" in my YouTube name lol. I no longer have that car, but now have an '89 C4. These cars may be looked down upon by the Vette/Car enthusiast community, but they are/were easy to get into and maintain. I didn't need my '77 to be fast, I just enjoyed taking care of it, cruising, and enjoying the ride.

This hate is herd mentally hate. The C3 wasn't hated when Corvette Magazine put the C3 at around five of its best Corvettes of all time in the early 2000s. This is new.

I had a C3 Corvette (1977) back in the day, with the optional L-82 engine, pumping out a whopping 220 HP, mated to a 3-speed automatic transmission & removable T-tops.  I thought it was quick for the time period, but everything is just perspective.  But my current V6 Lexus SUV is actually way quicker 0-60 and the quarter mile.   The C3 was still a unique, classic sports car for that era.
