A brief addition regarding the Parliament ticket (from 13:47):

We did the math after filming. Our €37 wasn't because we booked online, but because we didn't use the official website. Officially, the 45-minute tour costs 7,000 HUF (approx. €18) for EU citizens – the same price online and on-site. Non-EU citizens pay double,

and that's exactly the category we ended up in.

Two tips that both apply here:

1. Book only through the official website jegymester.hu and select the EU category there.

Bring your ID. Third-party portals often charge double.

2. If everything is sold out there – and it almost always is, for us for weeks –

don't give up: The visitor center has tickets available for the same day. For us,

several time slots were available. If you're in Budapest for several days, just go early

and check the display board.

We prefer to address these issues openly rather than leave them unaddressed.
