"How scary can the funny squid game be?"

I hate to be “that” person, but there weren’t 10,007 blended. He only blended the ones who successfully made it through his tests, which most of them likely didn’t. The ones who failed either ended up like Iso Padre, who sits on the metro for pretty much the rest of his days, or they get sanitized and are forced to work for Kamabo Co. as stage elements or laborers. Agent 8 was given the number 10,008 because there were 10,007 test subjects before them.

TLDR Agent 8 was the 10,008th TEST SUBJECT, not the 10,008th blended. Most likely only about half—possibly less—of them were actually blended.

I have a theory on how there's so many Octarians that isn't so horrific. We know in the manga of Splatoon that Inklings can get their tentacles cut and styled (we also see this in game too tbh). It's heavily implied that this doesn't hurt. I imagine Octolings have the same thing going on. Get their hair cut every now and again and the scraps get donated to the Octarian army as new soldiers.

28:05 Note: A Splatoon Lore Youtuber (Ardnin) tried to translate this recordings and on the splatoonwiki you can even find all the files with no reverb. If you now translate these you are just getting informations about the rocket launch, navigation and weather (and yes, this is a human voice)

You know for a franchise like Splatoon that's full of cartoonish characters, silly dialogs, and wacky atmosphere, they really show its dark side behind the scenes of the story, pretty much up like Mario, Zelda, Kirby, or even Sonic for that matter.

I saw a fan theory a while back that speculated that when an Inkling or Octoling touches the fuzzy ooze, it not only causes them to grow fur but also causes them to develop bones which is why they go all stiff after touching it.

Now I'm imagining a secluded human city atop mount Everest that caves deep under the earth holding a billion humans.

"its good for your soul" "OH PLEASE I HAVE NO SOUL" - two octarians, probably

19:53 I’m pretty sure that the tentacles on the hair of Octolings are basically hair and the hair gets cut, turning the hair into its own separate creature

I’ve got a feeling that those creepy sounds at the pre fight to a boss is some monstrous experiment that the humans worked one to protect themselves, but after they died out, it went crazy and will kill anything that comes within its line of sight.

The Raiders comics actually showed Shiver, Frye, Big Man and Mechanic surviving rain just fine. It didn't seem to hurt them

No mention of how Big Run was referenced in one of Splatoon 2's sunken scrolls?

My research shows that the water killing Inklings and octoligs is actually a result of development of Splatoon 1 - Because the game developers needed something to separate the maps, and initially, it was supposed to be lava.
One can only imagine how much scarier and more brutal Splatoon was when we actually saw Inklings burning themselves alive in lava while screaming in pain... and that's precisely why it was abandoned this idea, and because it looked, quote, "unnatural to have seas of lava in the middle of the city"

Not the mention the creepy inkling statue giggles and pearl said it's eyes were glowing at night

About the whole Octoling & Octarien thing, I don't think Octolings are getting tortured for Octarien breeds nessaseraly, mater-a-fact I think they come from hair cuts, like the different hair styles, perhaps the more hair you cut the stronger the Octarien? [idk that's just my theory anyway]

Salmonids being viewed as trying to save their race from extinction doesn't sound like it completely lines up because it's actually a core part of their culture to want to be eaten, like a "circle of life" thing - it's why many of their weapons are based on cookware, from the Chums and Cohocks' frying pans to the pots of Stingers to the whole bodies of Grillers complete with cooked salmon inside them lol. Most you could say is that Grizzco is still definitely hunting them for the wrong reasons and the events of Return of the Mammalians would result in their extinction just as much as it would for every other creature on the planet, but with RotM presumably done with before the various other events elsewhere in the game that threat doesn't seem like it'd be there anymore.

A lot of the creature things in this video would make really cool boss fights in the next game

@GabrielRolland-l4n 8 months ago

He forgot that it's also fought in the main hero mode of Splatoon 2 and not just the DLC. So four times.

The flounder heights face in Splatoon 1 was actually a lighting glitch. But in Splatoon 3 someone did intentionally add it as a reference and so it was later removed
