My heart is with you all.  Sending love and energy😢❤

Denial thrives where empathy is lacking.

My dad and my grandpa knew about those abuses inside those residential schools , my grandpa told me to stay away of the church, because the people inside those churches were not good .

The AGPR that was used in kamloops is the LMX 200. Here's what this machine can do.
Metal utilities, including pipes and cables.
Non-metalic pipes, including PVC and asbestos cement.
Concrete storm and sewer systems.
Utilities where installed tracer wiring has failed.
Underground storage tanks and drainage tiles.
Septic system components.
Non utility structures such as vaults foundation walls and  concrete pads.
Where's what the LMX200 cannot do.
It cannot detect organic mater.
That means it cannot detect any skeleton in the ground weather it is human or animal. Weather it 2 feet or 12 feet in the ground.
That means it can't tell the difference between a 6'2" 14 year old boy or a 4'3 40 year old woman.
Critical thinking people.
I know this because I have used this machine when I was a plumber.

Tell the story👍

While the residential schools undoubtedly did a great deal of harm, there have been no bodies and no graves discovered so far. The truth is more powerful if it is a tually proven to be true.

God this angers me!

So sad 💔💔💔🙏

Was the Truth and Reconciliation Commission what it appeared to be? My short answer is no. Reading this, “The Truth and Reconciliation Commission (TRC) of Canada's Mandate was to inform Canadians about the history and impacts of the Indian Residential School(IRS) system, document the truths of Survivors and affected communities, and guide reconciliation efforts for a better future”... would cause people to think that the TRC’s information gathering/statement taking process would be a process wherein any and all who attended a (IRS) would be able to speak to their experiences regardless if they were negatively or positively impacted while attending IRS. This would be necessary to ensure a Balanced intake process otherwise the final report will be inaccurate. The problem is that when people with positive stories about their time at IRS showed up they were redirected and or turned away. Question: Why? Overview: As an indigenous person if you and or your family members went to an (IRS) the (TRC) conducted their very well advertised intake process which ran for 6 years and fielded more than 400 outreach plus local and National “statement gathering” processes such that the TRC could hear from anyone that had a story of their time while attending IRS. Those with stories of abuse or knew someone that was abused while attending IRS could tell their stories in a very safe unquestioning environment in order to be financially compensated. At the time the TRC proceeded with the intake process more than 80000 indigenous people who had gone to an IRS were still alive. The end result was that of the 80000 indigenous individuals only 6750 indigenous people came forward to tell their stories of abuse leaving more than 73250 indigenous individuals who apparently had no stories of abuse but who may have had positive stories about their time at an IRS. When the math is done it reveals an 8.38% rate of complaint which given the fact that corporal punishment was then allowed in Canadian schools by today’s standards could produce complaints of abuse at a similar rate. It’s clear that at the least the TRC failed in its Mandate thus rendering the TRC’s report inaccurate. The problem is that despite the aforementioned TRC Mandate many who attended IRS were not given the opportunity to give their statements because they were not abused. The TRC’s report has been constructed with an easily identifiable Reporting Bias and as such lacks balance and from all considerations, Academic and or otherwise is Unreliable. It’s clear that despite the wholesome language contained in the TRC’s Mandate, the TRC operated with a hidden agenda, that being to construct the report to achieve a predetermined result that then could be used to manipulate Court process for monetary and political gain.

We still speak Chilcotin fluently  even to this day

I tried to express my humble opinion on some of this issues to a group of FN activists (all white) and was met with an extremely loud and angry response until a First Nations woman stood up and yelled back at them saying that in her experience residential schools were a place to escape the abuse - sexual and otherwise - that was happening to them in their own communities.

That was not an entirely unique experience either. Residential schools very often functioned as a sort of orphanage for abused and neglected children, which is probably why some FN people contested the closure of the schools. In fact, the last ones to close down were run by FNs people themselves.

These things are TRUTHS too.

Every Lie Matters

The ones who OWN it are the ones who were in power at the time, and regular civilians were shielded from the truth through propaganda.  As well, Indigenous groups themselves demanded schools in their regions so that their children would learn English or French to assist the family for economic reasons.  There are many truths on both sides.

They were not taken the chief's of the bands signed agreements so they went.  Y would they build such beautiful buildings like those just to end their lives? The towns and cities didn't even get that nice of schools. Were there abusive things that happened in sure there was, but at the same time these things happened in the white kids schools as well. White kids attended the residential schools on the res as well.  Unfortunately that's how things were back then.  But this documentary has more felicity the truths.  I was born and raised in kamloops I've been in that school many times through out my life,  not 1 of my native buddy's ever mentioned these stories nor did their parents.  This band got 12 million dollars to recover these apparent graves nothing was dug up.. the many other bands got money because of the same  claims and not one grave was found from all the other bands that claimed this. Do let's recover the bones and give them a proper burial so they can carry on with their final journey . This is the native way is to give a proper burial.

Some Chilcotins went there and they walked back to stone Reserve in the 1968 some are still alive today

sorry, nobody has responded, after 3 years, how many of the 215 bodies have been recovered?  thanks

ONLY ONE THING TO SAY
" WHERE IS THE PROOF.???

Like the witch and duff know better the church doesn't know but duff doesn't know either.

how many of the 215 bodies have actually been recovered?  thanks

Thank you for sharing these important stories. So many innocent lives lost in these assimilation “schools”
