It's been three years since we made our first journey to Essen Spiel and we are excited to be returning this year! Looking at the game line-up it is looking like a fantastic show with a TON of releases to keep an eye out for. Deciding what gets precious suitcase space is going to be our biggest issue, and what a great problem to have.
Hope to see you there!

Thanks for stopping by! We're Amy & Maggie aka ThinkerThemer. We're an Australian couple with two very different perspectives of what makes a great board game - Amy (Thinker) is all about the mechanics and enjoys tight, competitive games, and Maggie (Themer) is all about the storytelling and the theme of the game, and the 'world' that the designer is trying to create. Subscribe to our channel to hear us talk about these two elements of a game, and how well integrated we feel these are in delivering a cohesive and wonderful game experience.

But I wish you so much fun. Good games , nice people. Enjoy your time in Germany.
Evenglow is definitely on our list, and we already have River Market, Opera Magna on the way after backing their campaigns backing their campaigns... and Queen Alice deserves a special mention — it’s currently our absolute obsession. Such an amazing game! ❤
We’ll also be picking up some Spanish publishers’ games “at home” 😜. One game that is 100% on our Essen list is Nakasendo by Jorge Tabanera Redondo, did you hear about it? Since you liked some of his games.
Hopefully we’ll see you there, but if not, have an amazing Essen and enjoy every minute of it!
We're also both looking forward to checking out Trials of the Forest and -60.
Gonna be working at the wonderbow booth.
Hope Essen shows itself from it's best side :)
Our list is still very small, with only very few must haves, so we're hoping for surprises.
