Dude, one video on YouTube was enough. Get a life.

My period is synced with your uploads since 2022

What a great ad for piracy, without mentioning piracy a single time.

i remember when i was younger and digimon was gonna be removed from netflix. so i thought “ok i already watched it before but i must watch it before it leaves” and halfway through digimon adventures 1 i genuinely realized “im not really paying much attention to this. im not too interested in digimon rn but im watching it because it said it’s going away. why am i doing this” and i stopped watching it. that was my first encounter with corporate fabricated urgency and it still pisses me off

Not now kitten, daddy is increasing shareholder value.

If buying isn’t owning, piracy isn’t stealing

I’ve gone back to vinyl and physical books. The final stage will be not feeling the need to tell strangers this information in social media comment sections.

i feel like we solved every main problem with technology 10 years ago, so now we're just bullshittin' new ones

These are the most cathartic takes on yt. This blond kid with the icy yet somehow warm eyes gets it.

I love when you actively try to not pirate things and they make it impossible

I feel like there's always a glaring omission in modern discussions of at-home media viewing, and that's: your local library.  I estimate that last year I checked out around 100 dvds from my local library system.  Totally free, right in my neighborhood.  I don't subscribe to a single streaming service.  An extremely underutilized service, visit your local public library, folks!

I use Drew Gooden as my personal calendar. Can’t believe it’s been a whole month already

One thing that is getting on my nerves lately is surveys. Order food. Survey. Buy groceries. Survey. Pay a bill. “Tell us how we did!” No. How about no?

babe wake up it’s the last day of the month and drew is finally uploading to fulfill his sponsorship contract

people talking about piracy, I get it, but you're missing the forest for the trees. Piracy may be able to solve Drew's problems, but the larger point is that EVERYTHING SUCKS NOW, FOR EVERYONE. Downloading Friday Night Lights cannot fix the cost of the iPhone, or make tech companies stop turning their fucking SMART THERMOSTATS into monthly money sucks. this shit is systemic.

reminds me of that one tweet that goes like "streaming services forget that their entire business model is based on being slightly more convenient than piracy"

18:14 RIP to my kindle ereader that just .. doesn't turn on anymore because they stopped supporting it 😭💔

I've watched your videos for over 7 years now, and I'd like to say that while they've always been interesting, your commentary has gotten much more insightful over the years. It's so nice to hear someone voice these concepts in such a down-to-earth way. You clearly care about what you're talking about, but don't put on pretentious airs. It feels like listening to a normal and more informed than average person talk about everyday problems. Will be glad to keep watching you until both of us get replaced by AI bots.

February has HOW MANY DAYS?! -Drew yesterday

Something really hits about following Drew for years and watching him going from "angry old man gets mad about dumb internet content" to "angry old man gets mad about the systemic enshittification of our lives"
