Wins or fails its good to see some local content. It also scratches the itch when I can't get out. Just don't loose the passion because it becomes laborious. Good job.

'this ones the old beater'-pulls out a stella

I’d run half a squid on a single hook on one rod, and a whole squid on a two-hook rig on the other. I’d only use squid if you’re specifically targeting snapper though.

Try to find a spot along the rocks that isn’t too sweally—maybe a bit further back. Snapper will come along the whole stretch (and often pretty close to the rocks), so you don’t need to be right at the end where it’s blowing a gale. Alternatively, go on a high-tide morning when there’s little to no wind or swell.

With the burley bag, I’d have thrown it a bit deeper out rather than as close as you had it—especially if you’re casting long. The fish will come into the burley, so you don’t want your bait sitting 30 metres away from it.

Maybe have a smaller rod set up with a squid jig, and another light setup to catch herring or tailor with small bait to pass the time while you wait for a big one to go off. Those lures can be hit and miss—you can flick them all day and get nothing. I’ve only really had success when the water’s super clear, usually in the morning.

Good video—keen to see a version 2 at North or South Mole where you hook one. You didn’t fail this trip, you just learned what didn’t work.

I think a series would be good just like rushgang fishing is doing

Happens to the best of us my man, somedays you may have a deadly sesh whereas some days you may catch jack. As long as you are getting out there and having fun, that is all that matters. This video made my day my bro 🙌🙌🙌🙌

Good vid bro an I’m keen to see this turn into a series ✅ something special about the storm snapper a whole lot of cold wet nights for a fish or two 😂💪🏼

You do whatever video you want to. I'll be here watching.

man your video/ montage is getting better, keep killing it brother

Fished there many times during the storms, currents so strong so you’ll usually need 8-10oz breakaway sinkers or it’ll just drag your line around. Nice vid mate kinda brings me back

Definitely do a snapper off the rocks series! Please lol

Good to see the lads having a crack no matter what get behind the locals 💯💯💯your killing it bruz🎣🎣

Mate keep it real fishing in the metro area can be tough from a catch perspective but I’m loving the content.

Love your work. New to fishing in Perth so loving your vlog style vids to get to grips with the fish species, locations and techniques.

Thanks for sharing! I have the same issues and seeing your struggles make me feel less bad!

Love seeing videos from my state

I like this. Trial and error to then try some more to get it right. It’s what we all do as no one in fishing says ‘here’s exactly how to go about it’. Most of us don’t have the guts to put it all out there on video.  Good on you and thanks. I’m learning and I appreciate your efforts. Good stuff.

No fish doesn't mean bad content, I enjoy watching your vlogging content. Keep it real cob 🤙

Keep em comin"... Yeeow 🎣

Geez you put yourself right into that weather at the end there... lucky it was mild-ish.

Snapper off the rocks. I'll deftly keep making vids, bud.
