Fun fact: The Obi Wan vs Darth Maul fight was edited to be slowed down during production of the movie bc they were going too fast

I'm pretty sure it was like 0.5x speed

Star Wars be going in sometimes and the fights are usually the best part. They are so clean.

Fun fact: Maul's actor is also Snake Eyes from the first two G.I. Joe movies, and Toad from the X-Men movies

Best fight, I recreated this irl it took me, my nephew and my brother 8 hours to perfect and I actually dislocated my thumb and index finger....

This is one of my favorite scenes in all of the Star Wars movies. As clean as this fight was, the score for it is chef's kiss. I saw this in theaters and got a toy Darth Maul lightsaber the very next day.

Qui gon was meditating because meditation in star wars makes you stronger and he was recharging with the force because older Jedi use the force more for physical strength and speed

Something to note is that the Jedi and sith are basically spellswords. They don't just have telekinesis or super jumps, but they also have precognition

So a lightsaber battle is basically guys using magic to predict each others predictions of their predictions of their opponent's predictions of what they're gonna do a few seconds a head of time. Hence all the extra twirling and flips.

The phantom menace final duel is really great but the greatest lightsaber fight in star wars probably goes to the revenge of the sith final fight between obi-wan and anakin. That fight went hard.

HERE and react to more please

There’s so much depth to the prequel fights it’s ridiculous. None of those fights are pointless. They all have significant meaning. Glad to see people of all kinds getting to enjoy them today. Obi is the certified GOAT of defense. This earns him victory in a whole lot of fades. Including ones he technically shouldn’t have won. He just is so tactically smart he can overcome anything.

"Theres a sale at the Maul, and everythings half off" damnnnnn

HERE

BTW maul does NOT doe here he proceeded to love on fire like another 20 sum years

Hey Ewan said it himself, this was his favorite fight to film.

The final duel in Phantom Menace is so good, it mind tricks you into thinking the movie is good lol

Interesting fact. The cristals that form the lightsaber blades arent naturally red i believe. The reason why Siths all have red is because they use the force and so much rage that they make the crystal bleed. It is the ultimate right of passage. A way to show dominion over force

Every maul vs obi wan fight is peak cinema they run the fade at least 4 times

He needs to see anakin vs obi wan

The color of lightsabers is caused by kaiber crystals, red ones require you to fill them with negative emotions called "bleeding" maul having dual red means he had to bleed 2 crystals

I would recommend watching the first 6 Star Wars movies, since you liked Rouge One
