So this may be my last Apex Legends video.

I didn’t initially plan for it to be, I honestly wasn’t planning on making another at all, but I wanted to make something where I was able to get some of my feelings on the game out there, and end off this period of my channel with a bit of a capstone. I initially planned on trying to make an hour long thorough review of the game, however, after taking the time to play it for this video, I really wanted to capture instead the important part to me about Apex. The fun.

2000 hours of Apex and my best memory is of running into an enemy at tree and both of us missed all 5 PK shots on each other from 5 metres away. Then just stared at each other for a moment.

You have distilled the essence of the Apex problem perfectly.
I got into Apex because of the fun gameplay, and the great lore. Now in 2026, EA has completely given up on lore. Which sucks.
But the game is still so much fun! The visuals, the abilities, the sounds, are all amazing. And that's what keeps bringing me back.
I tried other BRs and online multiplayer games, but I keep coming back to Apex.

You're absolutely right about that skill floor to having fun. But what sucks is, for the average unranked player, the reward for your hard work is your account eventually getting permalocked into high MMR lobbies to get posterized by content creators. Hurray.

As much as I do love Apex it does feel like a lot of that creativity and passion from the devs in the early years has dissipated. It feels like most updates now are either playing things as safe as possible or trying to fix things that aren't necessarily broken (ngl I'm kinda dreading the changes to respawning that are in the roadmap for this year. Apex's respawn mechanic was one of its most unique features, why mess with it?)

It feels crazy now that we used to get 4 Legends a year and all kinds of crazy and experimental game modes. Hell, Apex used to have a genuinely compelling ongoing storyline that has basically just vanished in the past year. So yeah I'm still playing for now but more and more it feels like it's out of habit and love for what those original devs built rather than all that much excitement for what's to come.

Apex is awesome,if you want to put up with it that is,it's difficult,it's sweaty,it's full of randoms that disconnect,but man it's really fun,getting a kill,a squad wipe? Awesome,peeking with sentinel or a KRABER? Insane,pulling up to anyone with smg's or shotguns,and get some kills,outplaying a team,landing a masterfull nade getting a shield crack or a knock,learning the recoil of the weapons with different sights
The game is cool,it takes a lot to enjoy it,but it is

I've played Apex for four years, before quiting it

I was taking it too serious, and it made me really salty

I'm out of competitive games since 2022. My last game was on 24.02.22. That day I took top one, while Russia was invading my country. Crazy stuff xD

There’s a saying that fully shows the issue. “If you try to please everyone, you please no one.” When Apex pleases the competitive people, the casuals get mad. So then, Apex pleases the casuals. Then the competitive people get mad. Apex must commit to one community or it will be an endless bonfire of back and forth.

Lotta great points in this video. One thing I gotta add is that they really killed the duos experience. I know the game has been pretty much same for trios players but they cut the duos player count from 60 to 30 and then cut the maps in half which. This pretty much causes everyone to go the poi in the middle which is incredibly repetitive and everybody is dead by ring 1 close. I only play duos with one other friend and we prefer not to play trios so it kinda sucks that they ruined our game mode
