Is the knitting for olive cotton double nice to knit with as it would be good for Auckland weather. Your podcasts have really helped me figure out yarns. Love your SaltyDay sweater and your lovely way of presenting your podcasts. Looking forward to hearing about your trip

Hi. I have, in the past 3 weeks, flown Air New Zealand Auckland to Los Angeles return. I carried and used metal Chiaogoo needles in my carry-on luggage. No problems at all.
Have a great trip. ❤

I’m making a Monday sweater now and while doing the raglan was thinking this would be so pretty with the Felix raglan lace. Glad you figured it out.
When I made a Felix off gauge and needed more stitches I just did four lace repeats then increased every other row m1l/m1r until I was at the depth I needed. It worked out but your way sounds better. 😂

It depends on which airline you are flying with, as some airlines don’t allow knitting on the plane. We usually fly with Qantas and I have never had a problem as long as I don’t knit for takeoff and landing if I’m in an emergency exit seat. It’s a good idea to put in a lifeline or to use interchangeable needles just in case. Some airlines are okay providing there is knitting on the needles. I would check with the airline you are flying with.

I haven’t had any trouble with my needles in the USA . I usually take my needles off the cord and put them in another part of my carry on or purse. I also have started knitting with the shorter needles. It’s a long trip . We went to Australia and New Zealand a few years ago. Do you watch Truly Myrtle and did you go to the fiber show she talked about.
