We drove down to Yorkville, IL to go bourbon hunting at a store we heard is legendary. We found a ton of allocated bourbon and RARE bottles just sitting on the shelf!

The Field and Sound bourbon which was next to the Sagamore Sherry is excellent. It’s a grain to glass distillery from Long Island, NY and this isn’t the marketing gimmick that many use that description for. All the grains are grown on Long Island. It’s then aged on Long Island. Just like you get from some of the island Scotch whiskies there is a real maritime sea air note in the bourbon. It’s different and very good.

It’s definitely worth a trip…If I am ever close enough I’ll definitely be checking them out.

Dang, you bamboozled me by not mentioning Disco 11 and 12 at the beginning. Been hunting that 12 forever.

Glad to see you picked up those disco’s. I was screaming during the video when you didn’t mention it. Please do a review of the ones you picked up. Cheers!

Great store and great finds! Bardstown 11 is fantastic, and I think slightly better than 12. I'm driving out east this weekend anyways and will try to stop there. Fair warning to all, if that Larceny c923 is still there this weekend, it's going home with me! (But happy if someone beats me to it, because I do have backup bottles). Also, for someone that only smokes cigars occasionally and only likes light mellow cigars, the Buffalo Trace is one of the few dark cigars that I enjoy. Haven't been too impressed with the Pappy cigar, EH Taylor Cigar is terrible, and haven't tried the Weller Cohiba yet.

Score on the Disco 11 &12. Been looking for the 12 and never found it and would take a backup of the 11. Never found that Woodinville 8 year either.
The Midleton Very Rare was a surprisingly okay price . I still get it at $200 but if on vacation would be a great bottle to share with friends

If you like Port Finished Bourbon try Thomas S Moore bottles, VERY TASTY and finding them marked down to half price lately 😋, Did I see a Stellum black label rye on the shelf 🤔, A MUST BUY, especially when they have been marked down because of being discontinued 👍. Those 15 year 105 proof Dickel single barrel bottles are Awesome and hard to find over 100 proof. MB Roland cask strength bottles are tasty and have a unique crafty flavor. 1792 single barrel bottles are hard to find in michigan for some reason along with the 12 yr. I have an older bottle of the single barrel that is Phenomenal 😉 Cheers and Another great video ✅️💯🥃😎

Since you where In Yorkville, you should go out to Hinkley to South Moon BBQ. They Have a nice selection of bourbon and have a good lunch. they also have a small bourbon fest the first weekend in June.
