Hear my thoughts after one month of using the Remington RX7
My likes, my dislikes, and how it compares to my favourite head shaver.

I love the look and colour, the name reminds me of the RX7 car, but are they any good...?

Have you tried this shaver, what did you think? Do you shave in circles or lines?

I'm a week in with one and relatively happy. Made a right mess of the back of my neck after the first use but know not not to go that far down any more lol. It does need a few passes and you do need to apply a bit of pressure but even then I can't can't get an even smoothness all over. I'm probably still going to wet shave every other week as nothing comes close and I love that babies bum smoothness from a wet shave, but it will be much easier to keep that close shave look using this in between.

I’ve just been given one of these as a present, brilliant !!! Only takes a couple of minutes and is easy to use and maintain, I use circles to get nice and close

I've had 3 pitbull shavers over the last 18 months. They have all quit working. Don't waste your money

Thanks for the review ! I'm looking for my first shaver and video helped a lot :)

Thank you. Watching reviews such as yours shows me more and more how a standard razor seems to be best for me.

I used Philips one blade for a year or so. Need to change blade after 5-6 shaves. Just got Remington Rx-7 and after first shave I don’t need to use one blade anymore. Better, faster, more comfortable in use then one blade.

Just can't beat a blade is still great for convenience

thanks for the review, particularly warning about the ingrown hair and the difficult to shave area

Best head shaver ever. I have even used it all over my chest, even my neck and sometimes my face- and it makes a good back massager. Under 2 minutes I have a perfectly bald, shiny head. No nicks ever. I wash it with liquid dish soap and spray on oil lubricant. Its awesome for travel. Lightweight, quiet, well made, does not get hot in your hands. I shave in circles. The way its built is for curves. I like that it has low vibrations. Its like getting a daily head massage. I have head no skin irritation with daily use.

1. Always clean after use.

2. Use brush after drying to make sure all residue is gone.

3. Oil the blades after every use.

Lastly, you don't need to press hard on the blades to shave. Lightly run the blades over and make sure you have a balanced grip. From your video you are technically holding it wrong and don't know how much pressure you are applying but you don't need to push hard. I've been using mine for a few days now and at first it missed some spots, however as I have gone into my 3rd day with maintenance it's giving me a clean shave I think you and me have a similar head shape so perhaps try holding it like it's meant to be. Make sure you are not pushing down so hard which is likely causing your irritations and ingrown hair.

I have just joined the shaved head brigade. I shave my head every day with the RX7. I can shave my head in less that a minute. I use beard oil for a closer shave. Really pleased with it so far after one months constant use.

I used the philips green one across my whole head today, now its landed me here 😂 may get the rx7

I was about to buy the rx7 but after watching your review, I am definitely not going after it and I’ll stay with my old Philips shaver, which seems to be doing the job exactly the same + foam & razor after that. Nothing can replace a good old Wilkinson.

I love my wahl balding clippers ❤

@highestvirtue1892 1 year ago

yes I have the same shaver and I have to clean up around the ears and sideburns with a razor. Its ok through for the amount I save its way worth it. The razor is sitting in the shower anyway not a big deal.

I just bought this. Used it for the first time and Its everything I hoped for. However as I said it is my very first ever head shaver so I was wondering. Do you need to put a pressure on the head shaver to shave your head properly or just do several movements without any pressure?

Thanks for any tips and pointers! <3
