I still can't accept that he has passed on. Sometimes it seems like we need him more here playing that beautiful horn.

Clark Terry with horn in hand, watching in amazement with the rest of us.  By not speaking with his own horn, speaks volumes about the real beauty of Roy's playing here.  Just sayin.  RIP

LOVELY!!!  And so nice to see Clark Terry at the very beginning of this video. Roy Hargrove was such an AMAZINGLY talented horn player. Gone WAY too soon...

Greatest flugel player of all time. GOAT! ❤️

Mulgrew Miller on piano - RIP Mulgrew!

That might be the most beautiful thing I have heard on flugelhorn.

It seems to me that this is one of the most life-affirming song of all time. And Roy's performance is just amazing.
🙏🎼

What a magic performance. Amazing legacies left by jazz musicians like Roy, Mulgrew and countless others.

This is what true music is to my ears. Enjoyable and mellow. RIP  you're  wonderful.

A comment is on the way, by means of the International Trumpet Guild Journal:  a new poem for Roy, with comments for Clark and Mulgrew.

We miss You and your wonderful trumpet and flugelhorn! Rest in Peace Roy! 🎺😔

Like sailing on a breeze…no one does it better than Roy.

RIP Clark, Roy, and Mulgrew. Thank you all.

I miss him and his spirit.  I remember when he was 19 at Serengeti’s Jazz❤ club in Detroit on Woodward

Why did you leave so early?  This makes me cry, Roy.  And we all miss Grew too!

Such musical empathy between them.Chet Baker's tone in his tone on his trumpet , especially on the lower notes sounded as mellow as Roy on Flugelhorn.

My favorite trumpet player of all times......

wonderful!!!

I loooove how Roy and Mulgrew turn that last chord into an altered one. Gone from happy to disturbing in a couple of notes and seamlessly.

Love his tone on the flugelhorn.
