Hey Jay, one thing to consider...that heat pump will throw out alot of cold air, if the pump room gets too cold that heater will struggle to operate properly, been there. Ducting straight to outside will work as long as its not restricted

I saw a great comment on the latest PBB video, "If only Jay had a pool to cool down in it wouldn't be so bad" lmao😂

Hey Jay,

I would recommend insulate the equipment room walls. That way your equipment is protected from freezing/cracking, and it will knock down any noise from the equipment running.

Heartbreak ridge, a Clint's classic. "It's my will against yours, and you will loose!"

Here in "The Hat" it's went down to 0 C (32 F) last night. Get crackin' on the pool Jay, I know you're waiting on parts and the toughest part building swimming pools is if you have a day job besides. I built pools professionally for 5 years in the 80's. It's tough work. Best wishes to you and your family Jay.

your chorinator is fully weather resistant, they are designed to be outside in the elements, rarely are they in a pump house.

Sure hope you got the A/C fixed by now! Looking good, Jason! I know you are probably passed this part, but maybe some vents up on the top of the walls where you have overhang, put some screening on them to keep the BEE family at bay. Sorry Ray isn't feeling well, I hope he gets his issues settled soon. Have a great weekend!

I’m excited to see this all come together. The pool house gives some visual separation of the fun zones and the working zones of the yard. If it ends up noisy you can add some insulation in the pool house. It will be cool when it’s all done. Folks need to watch your projects and do theirs the way they want and not do the reverse. I hope your liner track comes soon!

If you're concerned about noise coming from the pump house, to soften the noise, why don't you insulate that wall with rock insulation. That way you will have minimized the noise

@patrickf310 4 days ago

I believe it freezes where you’re at. I’d be careful using deck boards with that much airflow.

You may way to consider a solid enclosed pool house with venting . If you lose power and pipes freeze you may be in for a lot more work

11:17 So for anyone who’s just discovered this channel. Know that he’s been building houses for at least 10 years. And then listen to him talk about how to cut a stud 😳

@ClancyWiggum_21 4 days ago

Jay I wouldn't worry too much about the noise. The newer pool pumps are actually really quiet unless you're running them at 100%. The only noisy item back there might be your pool heater. But like you said if you have the water feature going all the time that's going to drown out any noise. Looking good.

@JeffWaldron 3 days ago

that should be a nice cool shed while you are heating your pool, because the exhaust from the heater will be like an A/C

@RobertPerez-w1t 4 days ago

You might want to come off of the GFCI outlet and install an outside outlet by the door since you have the walls exposed. Just a suggestion. Keep up the good work bro.

@davidmichell 4 days ago

Hi Jay, add some insulation to the walls of your equipment room to quieten down the pool pump also to clean up your PVC glue on the pipes just use a sharp blade 90deg to the pipe and scape off!

@robtman9199 5 days ago

As long as it is still two steps forward and one step back, you are making progress. Stinks about the "F" track, we better leave that alone. Wiring is done, building coming together, looks great. You have a fun and creative channel, Jay. Have a safe week.

@LindaCherry-u2w 5 days ago

👍🏻You will finish the pool no matter the obstacles. Will you be putting foam board between the liner and the gravel? I don’t think the pump makes that much noise. Between the adult beverages and fun you won’t pay the noise any attention. May the road rise to meet you, the wind be at your back and the Lord hold you in the pain of his hand. Get her done. Ken

@Mizzelphug 4 days ago

If the pump noise ever becomes a problem you can just pack those stud bays with rockwool and kill most of the sound.

I always am reminded of his hilarious interview with jaime. I cant quite remember the quote properly from his wife he gave, "I'm very fortunate with my wife; she's got low expectations so easily pleased" ...
Wish i could remember now.
