thank you for not having a clickbait title, and putting the answer right in the title

I've tried all the main contenders and I've stuck with the fender TMP Sounds great unbelievably versatile and looks the best out of them all. As long as fender keeps releasing these updates this thing is a monster.

I’ve owned Helix, QC, and various plugins. I can tell you the best thing modelers have done is make the tools more accessible. I don’t have to buy a new amp, cab, or pedal right away. As a studio and limited gigging musician, I’ve found 90% of tone and style is still in the hands and head. If you don’t have that, it doesn’t matter which modeler you have.

I enjoyed that intro Jam, one of your better ones.

I have never listened to somebody talk for so long without saying a single thing.

I sold all my line 6 stuff and bought a headrush prime and a flex prime.  I absolutely love their stuff!

I'm 63 now and I have now purchased the TMP, and I love the unit and the ease of use, Ive had several different units, and this one just suits me. is it the best thing out there, I don't know. but it works for me

That intro, though. Right in the feels (of someone who shall remain unnamed).

No substitute for the stompbox Gui on the ToneMaster pro. Also sounds great and seems well built. I think this synergy of features makes it #1. Plus that full range speaker they sell makes it sound incredible.

Shout out for the NUX stuff. As a broke Gen X-r, models like the MG30 and Trident have been a God send

My Headrush Prime stayed and my FM3 and Kemper Stage went, plus a Tonex One for jams out of the house. I just adore the Headrush Prime, in every way.

Well you guys are just the best! Thanks for the flash sale. I just picked up more captures than I can use for an outrageous price!

Entertaining and helpful, thanks! Sold my Kemper years ago, on the fence between the QC and TMP, I wish Line 6 would release the Helix 2 already 😬

The community thing is a big key in why I ended up going with ToneX.  As I was considering going digital the videos and conversations I was seeing with people that were doing a lot of ToneX content was really positive and a lot of helpful people out there.  BTW,  Gen X and I love digital.  So much more convenient.

That Tone Master Pro sounds really good I have to admit.  I am being repetative here, but as I mentioned before I am watching your fingers, how you play, and the resultant tone and response.  It really doesn't appear to have much latency.   Latency can be a problem with modelors.  The new capture hardware is better response.   I am pretty impressed with the clean tones from the Master Pro.   Its a great user interface, but pricey.

Man, the coffee must’ve been strong and good today! Lol😅

The Medicare joke was hilarious

Rock on sippy cup! Friedman tube amps are glorious!

I own a TMP and Kemper Stage and can't decide which I like best, but should eventually sell one. Each unit has some unique features that beat the competition and solve problems no other unit else has solved. The TMP has Song Mode, which unlike Kemper's performance mode is a playlist of presets, and doesn't create copies. That is, you can put the same preset in multiple Songs and edit the ONE preset used in many songs. Their switching options have more customization than others, such as a scene or two to any of the switches alongside switches that toggle effects. The Switch-linking toggles is cool. No gap+spillover between presets. For Kemper, it's the liquid profiles, volume compensation, ducking parameter on every effect, and the convenience of a fixed path that lets you lock effect slots, along with five Rigs+ a second scene with morph in a performance.

I rather have less options and keep a few expensive tubes in the cupboard for emergency than to fear from planned obsolescence of an all digital setup. Okay, it's cool to have a GO for silent practice and experiencing with appx. what pedal combos can give what effect, but when it comes to sound nothing can beat a tube amp and analogue pedals.

I use tonex and an axe fx 3.  I have been using modelers since my Tony Schulz rockman in the 80's. Also have a boatload of vintage amps. Loved to play with the modelers and have tried most of them, yet I found them a novelty.  When it came time to playing live in my band they just never cut it until the about 2 years ago. About 6 months ago me and the other guitarist started going all digital at practice. He uses a Helix and I use the axe fx 3. Our sound is awesome both units are great. I have my axefx 3 on an a/b switch with my guitar going between the axe and my pedal board hooked up to a vintage 65 fender deluxe, 70's hi watt  and a 18 watt Marshall.  A year ago with this set up most of the time I would start out on the axe fx and switch to the real amps after about 2 min and never look back. Now I stay mostly on the modeler and  very little time on the real amps. The real amps still sound better yet the sound versatility and convenience of the Axe fx3 allows me to concentrate on the music more than tweaking and during live play this is critical. The axe fx definitely has had major improvement in the sound over the last year. The Tonex is also great I run it in an fx loop through the axe fx. What has helped me with the transition is having a "red Sound" speaker behind me simulating an amp and also running directly into the board. Just going straight into the board makes me feel like I am listening to myself from the audience perspective. If you want the absolute ultimate tone nothing beats sitting in front of your vintage tube amp, if you want to live inside the music while playing with your band,  the modelers are awesome to free you up and let you concentrate on the music. If you are like me and always thought the modelers just don't cut it outside of practicing in your bedroom you might want to give them a try again as things have drastically changed. I disagree about the interface with the axe fx. It is incredibly easy to use and yet extremely flexible and I am no rocket scientist. The latest presets have really been made useful and that is all you need,  yet if you want to go down the rabbit hole to the level of adjusting tube current, tube selection transformer response etc, it is all there for the super tweakers.
