This is the most confusing and complicated but totally entertaining french lesson i have ever completed.. so all good đ teacher finding a calling other than teaching (like stand up comedy) may not be too wild an idea either. đ
Oh dear! It's awfully complicated. I never really grasped the concepts of subjunctives, participles, infinitives and perfect and imperfect tenses at school, and so it's really hard to retain now in my 60s, but thank you. J'essaie d'apprendre.
If you're struggling to pronounce the Ăź sound (like French 'u' ), hereâs a quick trick: start by pronouncing 'ee', then hold your tongue completely still and pout your lips into an 'oo' shape I learned this trick when I was studying Chinese, which has this exact same sound!
the mistake you made with changing the auxiliary to etre bc of partir was really helpful for putting the choice between avoir and etre into perspective đ. I guess it mostly IS intuitive for french speakers in terms of picking one of the two depending on the description of whatâs happening
I love this way of learning French by translating a sentence. For me personally, I would prefer it if you could leave any pronunication until the end and do the pronunciation separately so it doesn't get muddled up with the grammar. x
The sentence in English is illogical because if you had left I wouldn't have had to wait for you, but is grammatically correct. Still I love your videos
