I always hated it when the hosts got frustrated with the beef going on between the contestants, like that's the exact drama we're watching for and them trying to shut it down is so annoying. I wouldn't be surprised if that's what caused Benji to not have the chance to reveal it was a dead idol
You dont know how CRAZY I felt when I heard people were saying this episode was good, because I thought this and the previous 2 episodes were horrible in setting up Fiore's elimination.
Ren, Nura and Fiore elimination happening back to back was too much for me. Plus its fun how Ren elimination caused the other two. Guess the next eliminations will have to take a different approach.
Sam (from what i understand by just watching the show and not interacting with the fandom) has lost his husband and knows he has to eventually move on, and he even attempts to, but he can't. He still hasn't moved on, so it feels like cheating. He's technically single, yes, but he still hasn't emotionally moved on enough yet to be able to say that he doesn't have that deep bond with someone. He's in a weird spot where he wants to move on and find someone to love, but also still loves someone he can't reach ever again.
...but thats it. We've known this (kind of, had implications to connect the dots but those dots have been just increasing) for a while. Wheres the drama, the sauce? At this point in the show is where he should've been at least an episode or two into having a plotline relating to his character's past. If they start writing it even next episode then he's gonna need to at least make it to the final 3 for it to be paced good enough. Because as it stands right now, he's just a character with a tragic past and a boring present.
(Also, i'm not saying he's badly written, but this far into the game where nearly everyone is a main character; he needs active plotlines, relations to other characters, arcs, etc. to stand his ground and matter.)
(Also ik its kinda weird to have this comment not even in a vid abt him but this is like the 2nd piece of non-offical dc media im interacting with and the video js made me wanna blurt my thoughts out)
Thank you so much for your kind words, and I'm so glad you've enjoyed watching Fiore grow as a character! As always, keep up the good work! I've thoroughly enjoyed watching your content, and I'm looking forward to the next video ❤
If Spencer gets eliminated before jury I'm just dropping the show at this point, we're really keeping Oliwia, Natalia and Gabby around because I guess we just HAD to get rid of Ren and Fiore. I don't even like Nura but her going right after Ren and right before Fiore is bullshit. Also what is the obsession with making the eliminated character THE LEAST IMPORTANT?! Ironically they did this with Alec in DCAS
Natalia and Spencer dynamic is so peak because lets admit; no one in game has this kind of dynamic as the writers try making every single character as sympathetic as possible
Fiore my goat is unfortunately gone and I'm leaving with her, this season frustrated me within the past 3 episodes and I'm tired so I will see yall next season
Fiore's strategic side got nerfed hard these past two episodes, and while her elimination made sense here, you can't help but feel at least somewhat bad for her despite how badly she acted with Nura.
Natalia should have attempted to play the idol for Fiore after the votes to save face even if she didn't think the idol was valid. A failed play looks better than betrayal from Fiore's perspective, and Natalia should have known this as a PR specialist.
Natalia's gameplay has gotten messier and messier ever since Tom's elimination. She's definitely safe next episode though, but whatever flak she gets from the jury thus far will be deserved.
Sadly I have a feeling they didnt want Fiore to go far (as in finale) due to Riya getting second and then winning, In my opinion that completely shot her chances from the begginning for me...
Fiore was robbed and shouldve won the season though...
I actually think the elimination made completely sense, since I don’t think that Benji telling people about the idol would have changed anything. Oliwia made it public she would target Fiore, and Benji is her closest ally. Idol aside it would be safer for the Lake alliance to vote Fiore knowing she already had a vote than insisting on Natalia and risking Benji supporting Oliwia and ending the vote with a tie between Natalia and Sam. If this whole situation happened with Oliwia telling the others her plans and asking Benji to vote with her, Lake, Spencer and Sam would have still be forced to vote for Fiore and no one would be complaining about it. The only different is that this idol scenario was the best way to give Fiore an elimination that showed character growth.
If the elimination made sense, I would've taken it... BUT THEY LITERALLY DID A WHOLE MENTAL GYMNASTICS FOR IT TO HAPPEN
Yeah, suddenly everyone is extremely dumb and believes the totem BS, and Fiore (THE MOST OBSERVANT CONTESTANT) doesn't see that she pissed tf out of Oliwia I get she trusts Natalia because, well, she's still a kid and they bonded through the season, but still she didn't have a plan B??? FIORE????
I liked it because it was emotional and gave Fiore more depth, but it still proves ODC team doesn't know how to properly write episodes nor characters
