I drove from Tennessee to Colorado just to drive Wolf Creek Pass and ride the Silverton train. All because I listened to his songs as a kid in the 1970s.

I lost my 45 record of "Convoy" years ago, but just got a copy off eBay. When Convoy came out, it took the country by storm, and as a CBer myself, I loved it.

The World was much richer with CW McCall in it and much emptier since his passing. Thank you for the memories and RIP CW McCall and Dick Clark too.

I will forever love his hit song Convoy. My Dad had his greatest hits CD, so that was on there. As a little kid, him and I would listen to it all the time. We haven’t heard the song in a very long time. I can also remember when I was a little older, he explained what some of the lyrics meant and everything. My Dad likes listening to country music from the 70’s and 80’s.

He was down to earth..just dont call him One Hit Wonder
