There are multiple ways to gain a stand in JoJo

You can gain a Stand by being Pierced by a stand Arrow made out of Rocks from outer space that contains Alien Virus that can unlock a person's stand if they survive the process of being pierced through the test of Willpower

You can also gain a stand by making physical contact with a Saint's Corpse or survive a hazardous area affected by a Saint Corpse energy. Also the Saint Corpse is Jesus, any Saint is valid but jesus is the most important.

You can also gain a stand by just being born with it or Inherit it through bloodline. You can also just gain a stand naturally by being dedicated to a specific passion with enough Willpower.

Since he was doing non-canon stands as well (non-canon meaning that the world over heaven was just in game and anything that happened in the game didn’t actually happen in the anime and acts almost like an alternate timeline), I wish he would’ve added the stands created by Kars in the George Joestar light novel, because they are practically infinitely powerful and have infinite potential

2:42 Fate(aka Gravity) will eventually lead to the defeat of all villains in JoJo's

23:24 this version of Dio's stand appears in the jojo's game Eyes of Heaven. It dosen't appear in the official manga/anime series.

8:11. about how does one obtain a stand. Basically you can just be born with one, or obtain a stand through your bloodline.
- 1st route - if you are born with a stand, you need to have a strong fighting spirit to manifest it and or use it successfully.
- 2nd route - at any time, if a person in your family gain a stand then every descendants of theirs will also spontaneously manifest a stand. which we can see in part 3. i wont go deeper cause i afraid i might spoils some thing

a stand is the physical manifestation of your fighting spirit, it is your SOUL given FORM. so it's form may be affected by your mentality: your thoughts, desires, likes, dislikes, et cetera.

Stands are shaped by the user's psychology.

2:34 Jjba is a interesting show and manga because there is basically no linear powerscaling

While some stands are stronger than others, what matters most is basically a rock, paper, scisors system combined with the intelligence of the user

The entirety of the part where stands were introduced had a main character who basically had the abillity to physically defeat anybody who got close to him instantly

The reason why most combats were still interesting was because of how they managed to get close to them, and how the stands haunted the main group from the background

In other words, a villain either looses because the others are smarter, or because some stand ability counters them perfectly

However... the lore reasons are that the universe is basically a character in itself, and it directs actions, luck, and circumstances in a way where powerfull abillitys draw in others with powerfull abilitys who can counter them, to keep the ballance

The ones who have broken abilitys and survive are always the ones who dont cause too much trouble for the universe when left alone, while those who are a danger draw in their own defeat

I assume if you're watching these types of videos, you won't watch the actual show?

There are 2 ways a JoJo villain loses, either user error (As in they got too cocky and/or careless) or the protagonist got a bs power up out of nowhere but that was actually hinted at since chapter 1.

Dastardly deeds done at a reasonable price.

"Despite lacking power" "oh ok so power based?" Yea im out

7:57 Stands are always related to the user in some way, and if the user changes so will the stand

Its mostly a match up with the personallity, skills, and profession/hobbys of the user

It is basically a projection of the user

Also there are certain types of stands which corrospond to certain personality types (e.g. people who are less stable in their life or mentallity often get stands which exist as multiple entitys or things)
