One time I was camping alone up in Angeles national Forest. I hiked in about 8 miles to an old camp ground that is super overgrown and very infrequently used. I Set up my hammock and went to sleep and I wake up to what sounds like there's footsteps walking around my camp site. Nothing quite makes your heart pound out of your chest and make you breathe as still as possible. I'm in my hammock sitting as still as possible clutching my knife and going over the options in my head. In hindsight, it was probably just some animal. But everything sounds louder and bigger when you are alone in the woods.

The sketchiest place I’ve camped was in a small cave in central NY when I was a Boy Scout.

Loved this one! I really like your idea of making your videos more personal and interactive. And wow, that was a pretty scary camping story! I’ll have to go back and watch that one. Be safe out there and thank you for bringing all your cool camping experiences to our living room! 😀

Was camping with some buddies in Ivanhoe Virginia, heard some scurrying and it was the first time ive been camping technically, and were all gun guys so we were very well armed. One of my friends had his night vision and went to investigate, after a few minutes of silence all we heard was about 3-4 suppressed 5.56 rounds pop off and the lot of us all grabbed rifles and what not and sprinted into darkness, 6 rifle lights lighting up the woods and turns out it was potentially some sort of cat, he said he didnt see a tail. Im still convinced it was some sort of skin walker, something something Appalachian spooky things lol

A buddy heater can be used in an enclosed space but do it at your own risk. Testing has shown that tents breathe enough to allow the carbon build up to escape even without a vent. Utilizing in a sealed environment like a vehicle or truck bed cap is different.

Your story reminded me of a similar situation I had with cutting my finger deeply. Back when I was younger and serving in the army, I accidentally cut my finger so badly that it wouldn’t stop bleeding for a good minute or two. Surprisingly, it didn’t hurt that much at first, so I just stood there, watching the blood drip. But then, out of nowhere, I lost consciousness and passed out. When I woke up, I was surrounded by my army buddies. That’s when it hit me—I could’ve fallen and hit my head on something hard, and things could’ve turned out much worse. Thankfully, everything was okay.

Now I’m imagining losing consciousness in the middle of nowhere with a pack of wolves around—that would be terrifying!

Anyway, great story, and your footage is, as always, incredible. Thanks, Keegan, for taking the time to share it!

11:27  Yeah I used propane heaters in my videos and I’ve only done 2 this winter it’s a such a pain for me to use them I’m definitely switching to diesel heater as soon as my bed rack and tent come in

Love the rig. Looking at the method 701 wheels with -12 offset, what is the back spacing on urs? Worried about rubbing the UCA’s.

In Wyoming beside a reservoir in the southern central desert like parts, during a thunderstorm. Near 45 mph gusts of wind, there were 2 ft. waves from the wind and a ton of rain!

I was using a Propex heater however with the price of battery systems getting cheaper I have switched over to heating and cooking with electric. So much easier to deal with.
