The 118th episode of "Chinu Road Straight Line" was set at Lake Shiraishi in Kihoku Town, Mie Prefecture, where the fishing season typically opens on New Year's Day. As the archipelago is hit by the strongest cold wave in a decade, we sought out a worthy shot during the bitterly cold season. The key to this was the approximately eight-hour stage creation. As Yamamoto cast the line with a steady rhythm, he transformed the information coming from the tip of his rod into an underwater image in his mind.
