2:24 is exactly why I stopped running items confer and skill buffs teammates on Scholar. People will actively fight you for items regardless of your relics. I have pinged people for items multiple times, and watched them eat it in front of my face and emote before running away.
It doesn't happen every game, but I would say 10% of players behave this way. When you are trying to farm a win streak, a 10% chance of someone actively sabotaging a run is far too high for me to justify. I lost a 49 win streak in spring because a Wylder and Iron Eye stole every star light shard an item on the map, 3 barred to ED Caligo, and left me to solo with Magma Blade. I couldn't kill Caligo before the frost took me out, because I ran out of FP for the skill, and that was the end of that.
Now I just damage max on Scholar. Double or single Balancers, Night Invaders, Continuous Damage on Ult in normal relics. Dormant discover for something, Dex/Endurance relic, Defeating Enemies and a starting Crystal Tear of some sort in deep relics. Staring fire and holy tear increase damage by 47%, thorny tear by 70%, and exaulted flesh by 30% physical and 20% affinity. 49/50 games I have the highest potential damage off all my teammates, and if people realize this and feed me damage, I can do things like a 25 second ED Gladius kill or 1 cycle ED Balancers by myself (almost).
Good teammates don't need to be buffed, and when you need to carry for a bad team, you need every advantage you can get. So why prioritize buffing? If you have the relics to get damage and support, go crazy. If you don't have the relics to maximize damage, go crazy on support Scholar. But if you have the relics, damage Scholar will knock your socks off.
I respect you posting that first game, I know I’ve had many games before where I fumble a boss I’m usually comfortable on. So it’s relatable content if anything
Good job! Nice that in the final set you got not one, but two Executors that were actually good. Its crazy how often people don't read teammates builds and just assume...
I will say for knives I really think in most cases its worth carrying 2 stacks, you're probably going to miss one or two with a stack of 12, and then you can't extend it. A second stack lets you extend it indefinitely by tossing one every ~25 seconds
Yo ggs man. I will say even tho the last game wasn't very close cuz only undertaker got down once during fulghor it still seemed like one mistake ( like trying to stop his charge lol) and it would be a loss. I will say that rot on that straight sword could have been quite good to use at least once cuz fulghor is like weak to all status but a win is a win.
This is probably one of the hardest characters for depth 5. Unless people truly quit out that much if someone picks guardian in the lower depths lol. Worse than having bad teammates is not being able to play the game at all.
Something I noticed was you never took out the guys mining the ground outside of castle for their gravity chunks to throw. They are the same classification as warming stones and starlight shards so you can get both to level 3 super easily just by killing a couple small enemies.
God i could not for the life of me imagine playing Scholar outside of depth 5. I have a pot/rivers build with a wraith calling bell that I pull out here and there but it's only for the right nightlords and when it fits the team comp.
Smokes invaders level 1 if I can get a few pots and can melt some bosses in 15 seconds but hardly anyone buys pots
I dont think this intro will ever be surpassed, its a banger for one, of course, but the lyrics could not be more true for describing the scholar experience 😂
I hope this doesnt come across as backseat gaming, i just play scholar a lot so i have opinions: i dont think leveling warming stones is really all that worth it, but if you do want to, i find collecting the gravity stones and popping random starlights is much better than throwing down warming stones constantly, it takes waaaaay too long with just warmings, and theyre a valuable resource too(i believe you need 9 total?). Also, for some of the bubble plays youre going for, you need the "prevents slowing of skill progress" relic effect. The circle just goes down so crazy fast without it sadly... whether thats worth it or not is another matter ‐ i dont tend to run it, but yeah
4:15 damn look how easy that was the whole camp died got good runes also whole camp being aggro didn't matter(helped actually got more kills) and you were healing each other by just dealing damage.
If only there was a way to do this more often. Miyazaki please fix
