I read that Watkins showed zero remorse, And has never to this day shown regret or remorse. A detective  and a psychologist both said Watkins did not care at all. That's scary.

If the Police had done something' at the time it was reported ,he wouldn't have done this !

He never felt any regret for the lives he destroyed including his own.He acted like prison was just another day at the office . . . .Well until be was murdered.

The fact you mentioned he was a straight A student is perhaps telling. Bright kids who are constantly told they're special and superior often become very Narcissistic, but grow out of it as time and adversity bring them to reality. In his case though, becoming famous was probably like rocket fuel to his childhood Narcissism.

Use of the phrase "fairly narcissistic trait" might be one of the biggest understatements I've ever heard in a psychological profile. If any traits are at the extreme poles of narcissism, it's Watkins'.

When you read the judges closing statements it was that bad. He tried to minimise everything. It was sick

I don't know much about him but he looks so different in his mugshot to how he looked when he was in Lost Prophets.
And it's hard to believe that the person in the court documents is the same person in interviews and shows.
He didn't come off as creepy at all until I saw his mugshot and heard what he did.

Apparently he never showed remorse even in prison.

His case has obsessed me in a way for a while. Not because I was a fan of his, but because I have had my nephew, my sister only child, shoot himself in the head at the age of 18 because of someone like Watkins. My own son was molested by a neighbour and when he reached his teenage years without telling anyone, he was self harming, and I had to sleep on the floor of his room so that he wouldn’t commit suicide like his poor cousin. This has devastated our family, and we have never had the opportunity to face those creatures and ask why, why our boys. One dead and one damaged forever. How could Watkins not give a shit about these innocent children? How sick do you have to be to have sex with animals? What is wrong with his brain that he thinks that this is ok? I have so many questions, that I will probably never get answers to. Watkins had the world at his feet. All I can think of apart from the victims, is what this must have done to his mother. Imagine being a mum to a monster like that, how do you still love them?

A disgusting horrible horrible man makes you wonder how much of it was caused by substance abuse... Well the combination of his narcissm and the drug abuse drove his actions....but what im wondering was he always so sick and twisted in the head but never acted on it until stardom and drug abuse

Small correction: Pontypridd is pronounced 'Pont-er-preathe' (as in 'breathe').  Needless to say, what Ian Watkins did was beyond belief but it's especially tragic for his mother Elaine, a lovely person - someone I knew back in Ponty (as locals refer to it as) when she worked in a record store (about 8 years before her son was born).

Some are just born "not all there" or evil; there is no rehabilitation for these types. These so-called mothers should be held responsible as well and get the same sentence, and the children should never be given back to these mothers. I have reviewed the publicly available court documents, and they are difficult to read and absolutely disgusting.  He also abused these poor animals. Let's not forget about them as well
