1999-2010 was truly a magical era to be a Laker fan

I like that he got to celebrate his first and last championships at homecourt.

I am shocked Kobe only ever got one MVP. He deserved at least five

For me, the Kobe Era of Lakers basketball will never be matched. In 2025 I feel like the old heads who said the same thing about the 80s Lakers. Idc what anyone says, the feeling I remember having watching the Kobe/Shaq, Kobe/Gasol Lakers will never be topped. I'll forever be in awe of what Kobe did with the Lakers, the great times and the not so great, a true Laker he was, and the memories he gave us are etched in us true Laker fans minds will never be forgotten. RIP BEAN

I’ve always felt like the NBA and ESPN always tried to downplay and cover up and not mention Kobe’s last two championships. It’s like they don’t want anyone to realize how tough the Western Conference tournaments were from 2008 through 2010. The west was easily eight times more difficult than the east. And Kobe led his team to the finals three years in a row with the help of only one other All-Star.  I’ve just noticed that they’re way too many people that actually believe that Kobe never won a championship without Shaquille O’Neal and they look at you crazy when you point out to him that he won his last two championships without Shaq .  Two championships that most people fought LeBron James was going to win, but one year he couldn’t get past the White Howard in the next year. He couldn’t get past the Boston Celtics. Both team’s mind you are the teams that Kobe ended up beating for championships.

Love hearing Bill Walton say “Throw it down Kobe!”

Magic hugging Kobe...That's what it's all about. I know Magic was impressed by #5...but #1 made him proud

These games were only 20 years ago or less but two young men already left us. Kobe and Mutombo. Thank you for the memories!

Kids. Of today lack what we see on these games...Kobe ahead of his time here

Afro Kobe was a force of nature. Unstoppable.

Seeing Kobe and Gianna - So sad - May they Rest in Peace. Still can't believe he is gone:(

Rest in peace Kobe Bryant aka the black mamba

Kobe won 5 championships… they called him a sidekick… but the truth Shaq couldn’t win without Kobe…

There will never be another. Rest in peace, champ.

Kobe was unstoppable you heard unstoppable unstoppable unstoppable

The eye test says kobe is the goat bc he has the numbers and rings he made the most difficult plays and shots plus the goat clutch player..I got him tatted rip 🐐

This is why this guy was so good he was just a beast nobody was stopping him that year he was just incredible winning 5 chips he did it all from scoring to defence nobody was messing with Kobe 👍👌👏

This before Vegas and all that fix ass games this right here was legendary especially kobe going against the team that beat him and comes back to get his revenge

there will be not another Kobe Bryant.... rip goat <3

His play in that first championship was outstanding. Matched up against Reggie Miller. Every single one of those baskets was max difficulty. Very clutch. Shaq might have brought in consistent numbers but without those clutch very hard shots Kobe made it wouldn’t have happened.
