FF14 doesn't take place in Ivalice? Oops.

Edit: And FF11 doesn't either. Oops.

Well, I DID say I'd never played them.

If Spira didn't have a giant demon whale that lived only to extinguish all life in it's path and was effectively immortal, it'd be pretty chill.

You forgot the best amenity of FFIX: an effective and dependable post office and civil service run by adorable badass moogles.

Oh wow, a Doctor at *22*, so proud of you.

Just so you know, the first toilets were made in bronze-age crete, 3000 years ago. An aqueduct flushed water under the seats, washing the waste away. The toilet is not a recent invention, only the U-bend that keeps odors from coming back up from the sewers is recent.

Just wanted to let ya know the blitzball players can't breathe underwater, they just train to hold their breath.

I’ve been sorely missing “don’t buy a boat” content and this just makes me so happy to hear it on repeat.

Whoever works payroll for Balamb Garden also seems to survive time compression because those checks keep getting deposited into my bank account.

Ff15 deserves at least a 9/10 comfort when you take into account all the restaurants and hotels that would be a dream to visita

I had no idea how much I needed to know about final fantasy toilets until now 😂

FF14 (and probably 11, but I haven't played it) is weird because in theory it's a relatively safe place to live in. Even considering Ishgard's thousand-year war with the dragons and the Garlean Empire's occupation of several nations, the common citizen in most places live a decent life. Except, every several thousand years or so there's an armageddon-level cataclysm that basically wipes out all life. And the previous one was just 5 years ago, the armageddon-ness of it only mitigated by one extremely determined old man and his band of misfits. But no one remembers that, so it kinda doesn't factor into anyone's thought process. But, also, because the game takes place in a vague time bubble of about one year, the more expansions that come out and don't expand that time bubble, the more nationwide and even worldwide threats occured within this year. But, that's not normal. It's just an insane spike in activity. So, it probably deserves a high safety rating with a caveat of "before the Warrior of Light showed up"

During FF7 Midgar gets completely destroyed and Advent Children shows that there's a massive displaced population problem.

I feel like holding a concert with large crowds in the Thunder Plains, a location infamous for its unending lightning strikes, should automatically rate as a 0/10 on the safety scale.

Final Fantasy 8 is interesting because it seems to be based on the early 1900's. The whole 'evil president invading people' before Edea gets involved smacks of the 1930's. Not a lot of games use that setting.

A fun fact about the lunar cry in FF8, it doesnt just vomit monsters from the moon. According to some info in the game menu, normal animals and pets are also transformed into monsters so Angelo has more worries than being exploded

A thought on FF5. Ex-Death is an angry tree. Therefore the poop from the black holes definitely go to Ex-Death since plants love fertilizer. In fact, that's probably how he got so big in the end.

I do NOT recommend trying to buy a house in Eorzea.

FF8 post game would be such a vibe.. Anything but Ivalice 😅.

Angelo is an eldritch horror masquerading as a dog. He'll be fine.

Most of these are dependant on where you live. And how far away you happen to be from the protagonists at any time

As a denizen of the source I can confidently inform you, that the Final Days were no fun.
