You join me today in the western Lake District on an epic adventure to scale some of the tallest peaks in the country.
I laid out some ambitious plans and plotted a route with the goal of summitting England's highest peak - Scafell Pike at 978 m (3,209 ft)
Along with 3 other Wainwrights worthy of note:
Scafell - 964 m (3,163 ft)
Great End - 909 m (2,986 ft)
& Lingmell - 807 m (2648 ft)
I embarked on this mission with a goal to summit camp in the trusty Fjern Stormgrotta - but did this tent finally let me down?

What I wanted to message about was the Stormgrotta zip, I had exactly the same thing happen to me on Blencathra 2wks ago…not great is it!🙄…I managed to repair mine back at home but took some force to do it….just praying it holds in the future and I haven damaged the teeth any more🙏…think when setting the tent up it could be important to ensure there’s some loose play on the door panel so the zip isn’t so tight 🙏
If you managed to get hold of Fjern could you let me know there response please, I’d be v.interested to know what they say…. I didn’t try as I’ve made quite a few mods to it and thought they’d say I was at fault if you get me.
