Get it running mint but keep it looking the same as it is now.

Skip the restoration, drive it as a cleaned up survivor. Great video!

Thing sounds so cool to.

Do a rust-o-ration .  Get it roadworthy and enjoy riding the little Dream.  You’ll be surprised at how many people will stop and want to share with you the experiences and adventures they had with their little 305s.  I bought a non-running 1968 Dream in Ft. Walton Beach, Florida. I got it running and rode it to Ohio.  That was in 1975 when I was 16 years old.  I still have the bike and won’t sell it for money or love.  I have since owned many motorcycles that I’ve ridden from coast to coast, dipping their front tire in both the Pacific and Atlantic oceans. Most if those bikes have long since found new homes, but my little 68 305 Honda Dream will be with until the day the good lord calls me home. Great bike and lots of fun putting around town on.

Ha ha - Fantastic !!! Small bikes are always the most fun, and make the best memories.

I cant wait to see what it will look like after it gets a real thorough cleaning

That looks way more fun than any Grom rideout.

My first bike in 1974 was a 1964 Honda 150 Dream .... paid $40 for it at a garage sale..... rode it for 3 years until I bumped up to a 71 Honda CB350 twin.  Good times, I was hooked and never looked back.  Been riding over 50 years now.  Treat that old girl right.

I looked online and this bike is actually pretty fast lol😂

I've got one and as you've realised, they're not cheap to restore.  Whilst they're unusual/uncommon and really good ones look amazing, complete ones aren't really rare in a big-money sense.  There's a lot that look like yours because the cost involved in doing a proper resto job are too high and when they're sold they aren't likely to bring in money to justify the investment outlay.  Bits that would be interchangeable and cheap-ish on more modern bikes (like headlight, petcock and handlebar controls/switchgear) are hard to come by 'cos of they're pretty much unique to the Dreams.  There's a lot of tinware which, assuming you can find the bits you're missing (esp. side covers), is going to need serious time investment to get straight before you even start painting it - and there's a lot of acreage to cover.  There's also the more fancy stuff you're missing like the chrome tank panels and a decent exhaust.  And then there's the engine with its multi-part camshaft and some other stuff (like the primary chain) that's pretty much unobtanium.

Don't get me wrong, they're a lot of fun, but to make them look anywhere near as good as the other bikes you've done is going to take a whole lot of time, money and research - and in the end, might leave you either out of pocket or fed up with the scale of the job.  Given your budget and desire to make relatable content for an audience that is almost certainly a lot younger than that bike, your best bet is probs going to be to put new innertubes in the wheels and sell it onto the next guy/girl.  If you really like the engine - and it's a nice unit - keep your eye out for a CB72/77 or a CL72/77 - they're the same basic power plant but with twin carbs and in more conventional frames.

Either way, best of luck ;-)

That thing is awesome. I am happy to Vapor blast every part on that bike for free if you want. I would do what makes the most sense to you financially. It is a cool bike, but who knows how many people even want old machines like that anymore.

Get Her running and sell it, maybe to a guy that wants to restore it! A buddy had one when we were in High school, It was fun on the old backyard track LOL

You can't go wrong with a Honda

Yes I enjoyed watching. Just get it running better, clean it up and sell it.

Getting it running and stopping better then sell it. Restoring it maybe too much dinero. Great video though!

My heart says to rebuild it, but my brain says to sell it now, whilst it's running. If you do want to sell it, don't work on it any further either, you often end up going backwards on progress with old machines with a simple job very easily turning into a big job, so don't mess with it unless you're going to go the full hog and rebuild (IMHO).

Sounds awesome

pressure wash it, dry it, wipe it down with an oily rag and sell it. To restore that bike will take more than just an emotional attachment it will require more money and time than you'll be able to sell it for later down the road.

We gotta paint that bad boy! Great video GG!

Those old Honda's are tough! If it were going to be a keeper/rider for you, I'd say do a resto. If you're going to sell, I guess it would depend on the cost to replace all the missing and worn out parts. From a personal standpoint, I would hate to see it parted out. Anyway, another entertaining video from you, thanks for taking us along on that super sketchy ride!!!
