What a fantastic, magical run for Alabama from 1976-1980. A once in a lifetime collection of great  players and coaches. Something to be admired and appreciated.

Major Ogilvie, one of the all-time college football names!

226 pound offensive lineman is crazy to think in the age of 315 pound linemen

Hearing all these player names really takes me back to the days of my youth.  I didn’t see this game, I was  24 and living in Japan (USAF) at the time.  Had to read about Bama games in the newspaper.

If I remember well, the Charlie Daniels Band played the halftime show. He sang In America and changed the lyrics to “ You just lay a hand on a Tennessee Volunteer fan”

Alabama took us completely apart that day.

I miss the hitting this is good old-fashioned football I love the 90s

That was a hell of a dive over the goal line

As a college age female myself. I  can't help but notice the difference between these sraight up 21 year old grown ass men! Oozing testosterone in the intros. And the 21 year olds now. You cant tell me all the soy based food hasn't had an effect on our boys/young men since then?

LB Greg Gaines of Tennessee was a standout OLB for the Seahawks thruout the 1980s. A very good, solid LB for us.

this was the remnants of the seventies dynasty, not much longer after this, Walter Lewis took over and he was really good

1980, the last year of Bear's dynasty. What a gr8 run it was, 7 conference titles and 3 national titles . When we lost to ND I had sad feeling come over me. Something inside me said it's all over.

I'm finally realizing I  watched this game.i was FRESHMAN in high school.

The age of the wishbone.

Rained heavily that day. Two weeks later we got upset at Miss State. Great Tide team but couple slip ups knocked us out of title contention.

ROLL TIDE 🌊

The UT offense never crossed the 50 yard line until sometime in the 3rd quarter.

Met Coley nice guy

Kim was Bama's 1st reliable kicker

They look like they are 35 years old
