At Nomugi Pass, there are the "Ah, Nomugi Pass Statue" and the "Masui Mine Monument," both depicting Mine being carried on the back of her brother, Tatsujiro.
The "Masui Mine Monument" was erected in May 1970, using funds provided by Sayuri Yoshinaga.
The "Ah, Nomugi Pass Statue" was created in 1989 (Heisei 1) by stone sculptor Kansen Ishida.

寮では先輩後輩と年齢バラバラの1部屋8人の共同生活。勿論風呂も洗濯も食堂だって共同。
沢山の寮に必ずいる寮母が威張っていて、いつも怒鳴っている印象。
「外の高校のお話聞かせて下さ」と何度も声を掛けられました。自分は自由意志で辞められましたが、その子達は高校卒業しても何年か働く必要があった様です(今では違法だし、労働力確保の為だったとしてもアウト)
退職する時、守衛室前まで見送ってくれました。昭和時代でもカタチを変えて存在してました。
