Thank you for funding evercold and the next expansions

It took some time to find my forever race. I tried Miqo. I tried bunny boy, Lala, Hro, Midlander, etc.

Finally, I landed on Highlander and never looked back.😊

I knew a few fanta addicts, and the some smugglers, and criminals offered everyone something sweeter. The "penultimate" "glamour" from "mare lamentorium" from hence forth freedom of expression was infinite beyond imagination.

As a recovering addict myself, I feel this. Bounced around so much in ARR and HW, found enough self control to get through SB and SHB as a Midlander, then took a break and came back after DT Dropped and tried femhroth. Ended up settling on Femra and I'm so happy with the current face the only reason I'd use a Fanta after EC drops is to try out the different horns with same face thing they revealed

I am also a former fantasia addict. Went through every race at least once, one time even going a different gender.

These days I still consider myself one, but I tell myself that I'm going to stay that race or look for more than a couple of months. It's helped on cutting down on the usages, even with all the recent free fantasias they've given out over patches and such.

I was a fantasia addict back in the day. It took a lot of soul-searching and four expansions (Shadowbringers) until I found my forever WoL. I may sometimes change his hairstyle, but I wouldn't trade my Lalafell for the world.

Everyone around me is a fantasia addict but the only one I've ever used was the ARR one just to give me stubble when EW came out

I'm not sure if your Miqo'te is your current character, but I'd be happy with it, it’s very cute and well done.

That is diabolical how SE gave out free fantas every patch right after you had cut them off XD

But glad to see you're trying to be more accepting of who you are.

I've always thought I was a Fantasia addict, but the way some folks burn through em makes me look like chump change. I know a couple years back I was fantasiaing like once every two weeks maybe and that felt like overkill. Since then it'd be a fantasia maybe every few patches.

Now I feel like I've hit a look I'm happy with. I look at my Middie and I see me and I don't want to change her. New makeup and hairstyles? Yeah, sure that's normal, but I'm forever a pasty, freckled Face 5 Middie. Every so often I get the feeling of "Hmm, how would this fit look as this race?" and I can sate those thoughts via Glamourer, get my hit of looking different for a dungeon run or two, and be back to my normal self shortly after.

I find it helps that Middie are pretty versatile in how they can look in gear. Middies pull off cool glams, cute glams, sexy glams, and gremlin glams while other races can really only do maybe two of them. Also as someone that likes doing vaguely historical glamours on occasion having a human wearing it fits best. Plus as a Middie I can run around cosplaying Honey B Lovely and I can't give that up.

God it took me so long to figure out what my character should be , finally I’ve stayed my thighlander for the last expansion

As a fanta addict, I can confirm, it's always "the last time" 😮‍💨
the running joke is that I am personally financing SE employee's holidays with all that spending lol

Meanwhile me sitting here with the same look since 2022........ 😂🤣🤣😂

I love the bright green eyes

fantasiaholism is a serious problem

I loved my bunny boy so much straight off the rip that I still have the free fantasia you get at the end of ARR

Had the same issue with fantasia addiction for years. Since I started the game until Endwalker, I couldn't find the race that would be my WoL. I tried every female races, even male miqo'te and male hrothgar until hrotgal appeared in Dawntrail. Since then, I only reraced once to change the eye colors of my character for my birthday. Like you said, sometimes that insiduous thought come back in my head : what if I switched lalafell? Even if I do nightmares sometimes about reracing and going back full circle into the addictions, I spent way too much money especially at a time of my life where I couldn't afford spendit it. The only way I could find to not use any fantasia was to create a lala alt and stay on my hrothgal. Also that may have happened to some people but back then I was super anxious about how players perceived the race I played. I was afraid to dress my characters certains ways because of others players opinions but I don't care about them now, this is a game, it's made to be fun and enjoy it!

Anyways, super sorry for that long text, the video is really great! I could totally relate to your feelings, I wish you a good recovery and to enjoy the game 🌻

I used the starting character creator to get this out of my system... I'm glad I have a lot of mental restraint.

i wish i could phantasia into like a cute fembun but whenever i do that, i just think of my lala just being sad sat in a corner somewhere n i just cant, i feel so guilty for leaving lala its now impossible for me to phantasia.
i started as aura but when i seen how expressive lala emotes are i swapped, its been 3k hours and i dont regret >:3

I'm perfectly happy with my miqo'te, but that being said, i do use a fanta here and there to change eye and skin colors every once and i while.
