The tires I purchased for my BMW are sports tires under the Techno Sport brand, sold by Bridgestone, a world-renowned tire supplier. These tires are not sold in Japan (they are not available in Bridgestone's lineup in Japan), but are manufactured in Indonesia and sold overseas. Their price is higher than imported tires of the same size (manufactured in Asia), so they may not offer the best value for money. Bridgestone also sells tires for the domestic market under the brand name NEXTRY, but this appears to be a mix of domestically manufactured tires and those manufactured in Vietnam, Taiwan, and other countries.
In Japan, inexpensive imported tires manufactured in Asia and sold in Japan are generally referred to as Asian tires. Many people also seem to have reservations about tires due to their price and the image of the country of manufacture. An online search brings up keywords like "super cheap," "disadvantages," "dangerous," and "okay." However, as long as the tire pressure and alignment are correct, there are plenty of inexpensive tires with no performance or quality issues.
I purchased the tires from Autoway, a major domestic tire importer.
While I personally don't like the term "Asian Tires," I use it in video titles as a keyword.
