I try to keep in mind the wise words of Wyatt Earp and / or Tom Givens, I believe: "You'll run out of time before you run out of ammo."
One thing that is almost impossible to deny is that a well-maintained revolver IS going to work when pulled out of the holster for defense. You WILL get those five or six shots, almost guaranteed, provided you've kept the gun in good working order and checked it before holstering it.
After lots of firing at the range, dirt and powder residue under the extractor star can create serious issues and such, but the first five or six rounds out of a clean, working revolver are more of a sure thing than the first rounds out of a semi-auto, based on my experience.
If all the stars are aligned properly, semi-auto pistols are incredibly reliable, as well.

Mike Beliveau passed away 7-29-26 RIP Mike. You will be Remembered and missed.

A video by you guys showing the truly proper way to clean and maintain a revolver would be very nice!

My life was saved because the person who tried to shoot me with a Ruger Super Blackhawk didn't know you had to cock the hammer first. I guess she didn't watch any western movies.

I never had a revolver stove pipe.

I alternate between a S&W Model 10 snub-nose and a S&W Model 442 if I carry a revolver.

I have carried a variety of pistols for many decades. One cool thing about a revolver especially with moon clips is when your shift is over or you are attempting to safe your weapon for a meeting or something , you just open the cylinder and remove the moon clip. When you leave the meeting or make your weapon ready again you just drop the moon clips back in . With an auto .loader you have to drop the mag and cycle the slide ejecting the round. And reverse to make the weapon ready again. You also need to make sure the same round isn’t continuously chambered over and over again because that round cane be pushed back further into the case resulting in increased chamber pressure. Revolvers are also able to use a vast variety of power levels for,the task at hand from mice to moose. The auto loader must be loaded to certain specific criteria for the pistol to function properly.  I generally carry an auto loader but there are situations where a revolver’s simplicity, versatility, and power levels offer a more practical option. Thanks for the video

Seemed to work for law enforcement for a hundred years plus.

Education, and entertainment, you can't beat this channel when it comes to that.

Just another thought, Revolvers will also cycle in a pocket or if a 2/4 legged critter gets on top of you and there is not much room. Semi-auto must have enough room for full slide movement.

Really, really good video guys!

I carry a S & W 686 (pre-lock) with 125 grain hollow points and 4 Safariland Comp 2 speedloaders. I never feel undergunned.

Thank all of you for another excellent video.

There is a direct relationship between arthritis progression and my appreciation of revolvers.  Mainly due to ease of manipulation and loading.

I’m 40 carried a gun my whole adult life professionally I shoot them all. But honestly when I carry a revolver or single action it’s for the cool factor. Never under estimate a lot of things we do is for the cool factor
