You're a brilliant educator and demonstrator and I only wish that you were closer so that I could be one of your students! Keep up the great work Rachel!

Hi there, I'm a 57 year old begginer bass player, there isn't anyone here in my hometown in the north west of England that I can learn from because I have no musical friends and I can't afford tuition, but there's is one thing I know, I love this instrument and love learning it from YouTube channels like yours (new subscriber) and you touched on one of my problems and that is hand dexterity or hand span what ever you'd like to call it, I was trying that one finger per fret thing and it simply doesn't work for me, I have to micro shift hugely especially up the neck near the headstock, so it was quite refreshing to hear you say just so what works for you, I have to use my pinkie quite a lot even if I'm only skipping a couple of frets 🙃 thanks for your time making the video 👍🏻

This is tge very best video i have seen fir a biginer bass player. Yes, I did know most if not close to all that was discussed there....but it is the delivery, and the simplicityt hat has captivated me. Across youtube there are heaps of such like videos,...but tgey become overwhelming in info and actual practice....which sometimes can make it easy to just put the guitar away.
Picking up my new to me bass amp tonight.....but cant wait to see the next video...hopefully just as clear and motivating.
Thank you...great work.
