After a hostage rescue operation goes wrong, Los Angeles police officer Jim Street is removed from his S.W.A.T. position. Months later, veteran Sergeant Dan “Hondo” Harrelson is ordered to build a new elite team, giving Street an unexpected chance to return.

Hondo recruits a group of highly trained officers, including Chris Sanchez, Deacon Kaye, Michael Boxer, and T.J. McCabe. After intense training, the newly formed unit is given a dangerous assignment: escort international crime boss Alex Montel into federal custody.

But the operation becomes far more dangerous when Montel publicly offers $100 million to anyone who can help him escape. Criminals across Los Angeles are suddenly motivated to hunt down the convoy, turning the prisoner transfer into a massive armed pursuit.

With enemies attacking from every direction, Hondo and his team must rely on discipline, teamwork, and tactical skills to protect their prisoner. Street is also forced to confront the consequences of his past while proving that he belongs with the elite unit.
