Friends, after long efforts and searching, we finally found a herd that has remained purebred for generations and is under state protection. We went up to the highlands of Çankırı. A wonderful green environment. While I was expecting about 20-30 cows, what do you know, a herd of 100. The owner was grazing them. Of course, I immediately went to him. One of the first questions I asked was, "Doesn't this animal graze on its own?" He said that it does graze, but it also stands guard against wolves and jackals. This native breed, like the Bozhirk, sustains itself. It eats little and is strong. Yes, it doesn't have a very high yield of meat, but the taste of its meat is unparalleled. Native Black Cows are a native cattle breed known for their extreme resistance to harsh natural conditions, low maintenance costs, and being completely black or dark brown, including their hooves. Physical Characteristics: Appearance: Completely black or dark brown in color, including hooves. Size: Small and slender; Live weight is approximately 200 kg for females and 300 kg for males. Legs and Hooves: Legs are thin and short, and hooves are small, hard, and quite durable. Head and Horns: They have a narrow and long head, and short, thin horns that point forward. Please don't forget to subscribe, share, and like.
Enjoy watching.

By the way, I would like to express my endless gratitude to my friend Hüseyin Ova and his team for accompanying and helping me find this breed. Be sure to watch our videos about sacrificial and fattening cattle. If you want to buy this breed or any other breed, I am also writing his phone number below.

Hello everyone. My name is Osman Tanju Güneri. I lived abroad for 15 years. I received education in agriculture and animal husbandry at the Royal Berkshire College of Agriculture in England and the University of Minnesota in the USA. I also worked on farms in both countries. In particular, I was responsible for a 300-head dairy cow farm in South Dakota. I opened a YouTube channel to share these experiences with my friends in Türkiye. On my channel, you can watch videos on small ruminant farming, sheep and goat care, barn construction and recommendations, small ruminant consultancy, introduction of local and foreign sheep and goat breeds, farm structures in different regions of our country, and the introduction and installation of the TGM Software Solutions program I brought from Ireland for herd management.

Finally, I found a native black herd in the Çankırı highlands! Under state protection!
