Tweens had their own kind of style and clothes they would wear, growing up on YouTube I remember the fashion transition from like seven Supergirls to Alicia Marie. But now I’m my younger sister tends to emulate what I wear and much older fashion trends
After justice closed down tweens started to dress ten years too mature and it’s so sad to see as I’m walking through the middle school hallways when there’s a dance for the middle schoolers in the gymnasium and all the girls are in short mini skirts and tight mini dresses 💔💔💔
i was born in 2011 and i guess there was some element of tweenhood a few years ago but now it seems like theres practically no sign of that anymore which is so strange because it was only four years ago that i was turning 10 and it was still a thing that i was now a 'tween'
I am 15 (2010 baby) and I remember shopping at a Justice bursting with kids my age with such a fun look to it to me it felt like a girly palace you had to DRAG me out. But now it’s sad I don’t see that one justice anymore, and I even went to a Claire’s a few months back, empty, no one but maybe another girl about my age and the staff it’s sad. Luckily when Covid hit my chopped and awkward moment was able to thrive since I was gone from the outside world but I feel bad every time I see a little girls in these adult outfits and caked makeup I just wish that tweenhood was back it was honestly so freeing and lead me to who I am today
I was born in 2012 and was 12 years old in 2024. I yearned so hard for the old justice aesthetic and the fashion and aesthetics that were considered "cringe" or "overly childish" By my peers and family. I wish the warmth of tweenhood would revive.
in my country (portugal) we didnt really have any tween clothing shop, most of us just wore bershka or primark (mostly primark) all we had was claires but i still looked so chopped lmaoo especially trying to look like those grunge tumblr bloggers at the age of 12😭
