Thanks for being so clear with your instructions. I was looking for something to cast and reproduce some pieces on an antique picture frame to replace the ones that are missing. I was about to buy a kit on Amazon, but your video gives me the courage to go the silicone caulk route, which I think will be just as easy and a good bit less expensive.

in my experience the original piece you making mold from like you used plaster must be completely dry , the silicon create heat , then it will cause bubbles in the mold , if your master piece is plaster , thank you for your amazing work    .

Being that i cant find a single one of these videos where the content creator interacts with viewer commnts (which exponentially boosts channel growth) ill pose this question to the rest of my fellow viewers.  QUESTION: when you make silicone molds from caulk, regardless of dish sop method or corn starch method, will the mold be able to withstand high temperatures? I want to make my own mold for pouring soft plastic fishing baits. But the plastisol needs to be anywhere between 280°f and 400°f, depending on the application.  Anyone know?

Can this silicone be used for life casting? Like directly letting it allow to set the hand in the silicone.
