These were the last of the golden years. No smart phones, no internet. The girls were young and beautiful . I loved my time in AC, 85-89. Have been nack a few times over last 38 years since i left, just got worse and worse.

Dam I wish I was here in the 70s and 80s.....girls are more beautiful then than now

I never reached the Philippines until 1996 but this video still brings back those vibes. Fantastic blues track also. Yeah I got hooked, still here in PH in 2026.

I'm 53, born in Subic Bay Naval Base Olongapo City 1973! My Daddy was in the U.S Navy 71-94 Vietnam to Desert Shield/Storm E7 CPO (RET) he was there looking for a wife, and i came out a screamin Amer-asian!

I don't have the words to describe it, but what an amazing vibe. Thanks for sharing.

Those dirty wet streets hold countless good memories for me and everyone else who had the good fortune of being stationed at Clark in the 1980s.  Maverick City was my first Happy Hour stop, with its huge rock video theatre sized screen.  There are several videos here on You Tube with photos of the REAL good old days.  Check them out.

Then they used to call me Joe !! Now they call me bro .!!

Great video from back when. ❤❤. I visited AC for the first time in 2018 and was just fascinated by the history of it versus they way it looked back when I visited. I've seem many old videos of AC from the 1970s, '80s, '90s, and the early and mid 2000s. One could see the changed from decade to decade. Though I wasn't in the Armed Services I remember the Mt Pinatubo eruption very well. It was in the news and I remember it being cloudy for most of 1992 after. It effected almost the whole planet. And for some reason as somewhat of a train buff, those tracks fascinated me too.

I see the SALAKOT in the background 3:22 time frame and it's still there till this day. I was just in AC January 2026 for about 30 days R/R. Lots of changes since the base closure in 11/92. Who would ever think we would ever leave this Boys 2 Men Disneyland.

Remember it well kinda

1985 was my first trip to Subic.

They were skinny then.

I figured the piles of trash everywhere was always a problem but in the past it seemed there was way less garbage on the streets. What happened?

Your a bit shaky on the camera maybe you where on the red horse?
