I gave Street Fighter 6 one last chance.
For 30 days, I committed to playing Street Fighter 6 and learning Ingrid, the latest character added to the SF6 roster. The goal was simple: actually give the game a fair shot, improve at it, and see if spending more time with it would finally change my opinion.
Street Fighter 6 is one of the biggest fighting games around, with a huge roster, ranked play, Fighting Ground, Battle Hub, and World Tour. With Ingrid finally joining the game, I figured this was the perfect opportunity to come back and see if SF6 could finally click with me.
Unfortunately... things didn't go quite as planned.

Games:
Street Fighter 6 is the sixth numbered fighting game in Capcom's Street Fighter series. It was released on June 2nd, 2023, for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows, and Xbox Series X, with an arcade version later in the year. The eight world warriors from Street Fighter II return, as well as Cammy and Dee Jay from Super Street Fighter II, Juri from Super Street Fighter IV, and Luke from Street Fighter V. The new characters are the drunken boxer Jamie, the judoka Manon, the pankratiast Marisa, the Bushin-ryuu student Kimberly, Lily of the Thunderfoot tribe, and the Psycho Power-wielding JP. The game is split into three modes: World Tour is a lengthy single player mode where you create an avatar character and learn techniques from the masters. Battle Hub is a giant video arcade where you can challenge other players online. Fighting Ground has the traditional fighting game modes such as arcade, versus, training, tutorials, and trials.
Street Fighter V is the fifth numbered fighting game in Capcom's Street Fighter series and the follow-up to Street Fighter IV. It was released on February 16th, 2016, for PlayStation 4 and Windows. Street Fighter V features a roster of 16 characters at launch, including returning characters such as Ryu, Ken, Chun-Li, Guile, and Zangief, as well as newcomers Rashid, Laura, F.A.N.G, and Necalli. The game introduced V-Skills, V-Triggers, and V-Reversals, replacing several mechanics from previous entries. The game is split into several modes, including Arcade, Versus, Training, Challenges, and Story. A cinematic story mode, A Shadow Falls, was later added as free DLC, while additional characters and stages were released through seasonal updates.
Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition was released on January 16th, 2018, adding Arcade Mode, Team Battle, additional V-Triggers, and other gameplay improvements. Street Fighter V: Champion Edition was released on February 14th, 2020, and includes the base game along with nearly all characters, stages, and costumes released through the game's first four seasons. The final season, Season V, added five additional characters, bringing the total roster to 45 characters.

Picks a low tier. "Other characters get to keep their stocks, why doesn't she?"
Fails to try any other character who gets to keep their stocks. "Everyone plays the same!"
... think we may have diagnosed your problem there, champ!
