A HUMAN PYRAMID. A World Cup-winning coach dressed as a WATER BOY
Antoine Dupont gaining an advantage by standing completely STILL.
Every one of them forced rugby to change its laws.
And we're starting with a move so ridiculous the try actually counted... before rugby made sure it could never happen again.
These are the Rugby Moments That Changed the Rules Forever.

Knew a kid in high school who would jump-kick at tacklers with his cleats out. Took several games for a ref to finally call him on it...

Sorry,...what part of 'crocodile roll' sounds almost harmless, exactly?

@StayMad26 2 weeks ago

Croc roll sounding harmless is a crazy take lol

wasn't it Finn Russell that originally started the whole "standing still" bit in the match against France? then Dupont started doing it as well?

Jumping a tackle has always been illegal, that try should never have been awarded.

I scored a try by hurdling a player in a youth game back in the 90's - Had no idea it was illegal now

Ngl if Aaron Smith landed that tackle it would've been talked about for months that would've been a clean hit and ran towards touchline

All these changes, some within days, and yet we still have the caterpillar ruck.

6:45 I don’t completely remember but I recall a pretty recent incident of this with the Springboks and possibly Wales or New Zealand? I guess it’s not as self-explanatory as one might think

It's quite interesting to see how the sport grows and rules are changed over time. I'm old enough to remember a quite different game from the modern one. I enjoyed the hurly burly but I've adapted with rugby and am still so in love with the sport. Thanks for the both the education and the memories!

We should've known that the scrum off the mark would be banned and this was the absolute correct time to put that into play for the one and only last time it would be allowed. The Boks pulled a few rabbits from a hat during this match!

Wow, a try was scored against England and it took world rugby four days to stop it happening again... lol

3:00 you can hear the snap coming from his knee

Every time the Springbok scrum or maul becomes unstoppable.

World Rugby: gotta make a plan fellas

Rugby could simplifying things with laws that say "You can only..." rather than leaving so much for interpretation. Some innovation is fun, sure (and more so in a Baabaas or club match), but a lot more is just ridiculous / frustrating.

As always, another great video. As a Bok fan, seeing the name of the video made me curious what you meant. Nothing to do with Rassie at all.

It’s amazing how many things that came into the game after rucking got banned, and these things are far more dangerous. No one ever got hurt apart from pride from PROPER rucking. Bring it back I reckon. There is no better feeling running up and seeing an opponent on the wrong side and rucking the fcuk out of him and then the ball popping out, said opponent not usually seen offside again, result is quick ball and no dangerous clean outs, crockrolls etc.
