Braves legend right here. Held it down as the ace through some lean times in Atlanta. Always looked forward to his start days

JJ held it down for the Braves during some of the more bleak years later in his tenure with them. He stepped it up to lead the starting staff for multiple years.

Always one of my favorites. Glad to see him doing well!

Loved me some Jair back in the day. What a bulldog. Don't want to downplay what you went through, but made respect.

I watched him when I was little. Whenever we pitched I just knew we were going to win. Go Braves!!!

as JJ's countryman I want to answer the question like this . What is in the water of Curacao ..? I think it is the blend of people of multiple races that came to Curacao back in the time to have a better future and the result of that mix is that it created citizens that are very talented and which can perform at a world class level.

Yooo JJ ...Hey man! I randomly came across this video and couldn’t believe it was you! Not sure if you remember me — Jerome from back in the Sazón days. Whenever you were in NY with the Braves playing the Mets, I’d hit you up to come through Sofrito and we hung out a few times. Man, it’s been a LONG time! 😂 Hope life’s been treating you well, brother. Would be great to reconnect!

Saw him pitch a shutout and Martin Prado hit a solo HR for the only run. Always wondered what happened to him.

JJ was on some bad Braves teams. He wasn’t an ace, but he was our ace. Will always be grateful

I could never hit off this guy in MLB the show and MLB 2k he owned me always had a great variety of pitches and locations and used them all.

I've always loved Jair. He's one of those guys that the fanbase turned on quickly. Never could figure out why. I feel like we're going to look back on Elder similarly at some point. Solid guy that deserved better.
