No Matara, they NEEDED to go this hard

While cheesy, these Ace Combat live action shorts perfectly hit the tone the game series has.

This is a great to get lots of new people into the Ace Combat series.

"Grandpa, you deserved Ketamine!"

I absolutely love Mata's insight into the emotions and characters during this.  Picking up the more personal intentions between the doctor/nurse and stopping to acknowledge body language is such a treat.    I watched these but missed the little expressions like that!

So much hype for AC8. Already playing in the early launch and it's SO GOOD. Fan of this series since AC3 came out so so many years ago!

I love Matara repeatedly apologizing about pausing all the time, like yes Matara we've watched you react to things before we know what we're getting in to

I started playing ace combat like two years ago and I got to say I absolutely love this series. Wish I found it wayyy sooner.

I still think an Ace Combat anime would go even HARDER

Mata doesn't understand that standing in a dramatic pose is 90% of what all good-looking surgeons do.

14:00“What if they could CGI it” they kinda showed they can get away with it pretty well here. Still take a budget but they showed in the behind the scenes for the flight scenes it’s all unreal engine imposed on a screen behind them. A couple shots show it more but with the detail they put into the planes already it blends really well for those. Would be very cool for them to do a larger scoped series at some point, give them space to go a little more in depth than they have a chance to in the mini series

Welcome to the video game series that defined my childhood xD I will love the Ace Combat franchise until the day I die

36:29 as a tall man this is just natural standing.
Shoulder with apart

24:16 because its ACE COMBAT BAAABYYYY

Matara just wants the full on camp of command and conquer

Man of steel can be a doctor too

8:06 🥲

This is pretty gritty for Ace Combat, but honestly AC is at its best when it's at least a bit gritty considering AC:0 is my favorite.

We need to convince Mata for Bones watchalong. The gossiping would be insanely fun!

Skipper is played by Josh Holloway and he plays Will Bowman in Colony

the last episode is out now
