My previous video MAJORLY over-performed, so I wanted to follow-up with a similar video. Are you guys liking this style? I'm actually considering making mine and my brothers' dogman encounter/history a future episode like this

They don't tell him anything, then they are angry that he doesn't know anything and does something that leads to a tragedy 🤨

His curiosity didn’t cause the incident nor would his lack of curiosity have prevented it. He’s right “its not your fault”

"You should have listened when we refused to tell you the protocol, how to follow it, or why it's in place."
-Dalton

I sure do hate when conflict is predicated entirely on people being stupid, and problems arise solely because nobody wants to be an adult and actually communicate lifesaving information.

It's almost like if you treat the new kid like an idiot he's gonna do something stupid without knowing it's stupid. Great job with the long form story!

I don't know, Dalton. It sucks you were almost killed, but if I was in your shoes, I'd have done everything in my power to keep my kid brother and everyone else I valued as far away as possible from a forest that I knew an honest to God monster was using for hunting grounds.

I would hate working for Dalton. Rat was not at fault. If Dalton had explained anything, most of this would have been avoided.

See the entire story pisses me off so far because they keep treating him like a idiot and they don't tell him anything and keep dismissing him and then they get angry with him when he keeps pushing.   Like heyo maybe actually just Answer his freakin questions and tell him straight up.  Also that part where Leonard said "see Dalton learned... you didnt"   HOWS HE GONNA LEARN IF YOU DONT TELL HIM ANYTHING SMARTASS

I understand he was scared, but Dalton honestly should've given his BROTHER some sort of heads up. The prolonged hostility wasn't necessary and probably made the situation worse.. made the kid a lot more curious. If he was a bit friendlier and understanding, the situation could've come out a lot better than it did, just some simple and passive warning.

44:23 this. This right here. Just mentioning something or yelling at someone for doing something they consider taboo without explaining why is what usually ends up causing these accidents. Telling people what they want to know can stop them from digging and possibly causing what you’re trying to avoid

I'm loving these longer stories you've been putting out. The last one about the skinwalker was really unsettling

Just say "listen, you may not believe it but something is in these woods, something dangerous. We cant talk about it or bad things happen. Trust me, please."

Dalton and Rhett both unload their sidearms into it near point-blank: ❌
Dalton fires 2 waring shots and then gets slammed: ✅

Hot take:
Dalton deserved to lose an arm for keeping his brother in the dark after deliberately bringing him to an area where a dangerous entity that already hospitalized him once already resides.

Honestly, there's dozens of better ways to bring someone up to speed than keeping them ignorant and then getting mad at them for trying to figure out what was going on.

They all really brought it on themselves.

Take him back to the city and brief him.
Give him a vague list of rules.
Explain the protocols without any direct references to the entity.

There were options there.
Instead, they hired on a guy, kept him in the dark, got mad at him for asking questions, and then blamed him for everything when things went south.

Just an incredibly frustrating and unenjoyable story.

The math isn't mathing. People only start talking about the wendigo after they find evidence of an attack, so the attacks happen first, meaning their silence doesn't do anything, it starts back up even if nobody talks about it

“Never ask questions, son.”

“Got it. No questions. Also, I have a habit of very loudly shouting after weird voices and strobing my flashlight while I’m around other rangers at night. Shouldn’t be a problem though, right?”

So the park rangers let the genera public wander into danger because they didn't want to talk about what was going on? Sounds reasonable.

They're treating it like it's Freddy Krueger in the story. If you don't remember it, it can't come back
