Watch the whole concert as it's her last performance.  Rest in peace sweet selena 😢

Even if you don’t know Spanish you’ll still enjoy her performance! ❤

Her story is worth the deep dive. If you want an english original from her Dreaming  of You is a phenomenal song. Also you cant convince me Jennifer Lopez would have the career she has without Selena

The fact that one of her earrings falls off and she pulls off the other  one, without skipping a beat.👏🏽

Can't believe she has been gone for 30 years!  Gone way to soon! RIP

Bro Selena won a Grammy, was a worldwide phenomenon. Her life was stolen tragically, or she may still be singing.

She was about to cross over into R&B before she was killed. You probably have heard her English songs “dreaming of you” or “I could fall in love”.

Selena broke every musical barrier there was.  EVERYONE in San Antonio remembers
EXACTLY where they were and what they were doing when they heard the news she had been murdered. 😭

So Excited!!!   Another Pride of Texas…Our White Rose!   Texas’ Daughter…as with SRV - We Texan’s were hit so hard by her murder.   This was Selena’s last performance.  It was a Big Deal to perform at The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo.
I was there working that night. No Auto Tune…Just Pure Talent!
In honor of: Please react to all from this night.  Expose yourself to Tejano Music!

She performed her last concert at the Houston Rodeo ..almost 67 000 people.  She was murdered a month later. So sad😢

She designed her own clothes and sold them in boutiques.

She never gets mentioned in the discussion, but Selena was a pioneer of her time. Selena was a true performer, which you don’t see much of these days. She sang and moved pretty much continuously, and she did so at every venue. Not only did she perform songs, but she had a hand in writing them. She designed her own clothes and had a fashion line long before it became popular. She had already won a Grammy for a Spanish album (which is a language she had to learn), and was about to make the switch. She was a personality, accessible to her audience. She had already had a body type that now, literally thirty years later, is considered attractive. At the time, the stick models were in fashion.

For me, she’s one of the great what if’s of the music industry, independent of my heritage. Her survival and subsequent effect on music would be something similar to Kurt Cobain, or perhaps even more so. J.Lo doesn’t have a career without Selena.

Thanks for reacting to Selena.  I’m from Scotland and Selena is my favourite female performer ever.  Sadly i only found out about her after her murder by her fan club president Yolanda Saldivar.  Yolanda shot her in the back as Selena was running from her.  The bullet was a hollow point bullet which does more damage it cut through the main artery to her heart and when Selena ran it caused her heart to pump faster so she had no blood left in her body.  She bled out at the days inn.  Selena was just 23 years old when she died and this performance took place one month before she was killed.  Selena was murdered march 1995 and this concert is feb 1995.  Yolanda stole 70,000 dollars from Selena’s fashion boutiques and fans as she ran the fan club and managed the boutiques.  On a brighter note Yolanda got denied parole a few months ago.  They said she was still a danger plus she has never apologised.  She blames everyone else including Selena.  You should watch the biopic Selena starring Jennifer Lopez it’s great and it’s where i discovered Selena and her music.  My fave Selena songs are -  Como la flor,  Si Una Vez, Amour Prohibito, Bidi Bidi Bom Bom.  Take care  😘🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿    R.I.P.  Selena Quintanilla Perez ❤️💔😭🤧    La Reina  Forever

When she was alive she was known for being so nice and funny. She was goofy but did her work seriously. She loved her family and made it a point to mention her band always. She was so kind during interviews even when they tried to make fun of her Spanish.

And nothing fake on her. Real body without exercising. Real hair. No fake eyelashes. An outfit she designed and was buried in. Her first language was English. It was so hard for her to sing in Spanish. So all of this was her jam. She also loved R&B, Pop, Rock. She couldn’t wait to sing blues and R&B music after she crossed over. What a talent right? There is this new Netflix special on her that had my husband and I sobbing. It’s like you learn her from childhood until the end and it was made so well with never before home videos

If she would be alive she would be like in her early 50s.  Gone way too soon, glad her killer was denied parole last month.  She became even more famous after she passed, because many more people became aware who she was,  because of the movie Selena.

I can’t watch this without feeling really sad- RIP

" Selena was a great singer, dancer, and a great fashion designer. She designed and sewed her own clothes. Unfortunately, she had a short career, but she will always be remembered for being one of the greatest Latin singers." 🇧🇷

Thank u. Muchas gracias we love Selena forever💜🤲🫀👍🎁🤗😇🙏 more

Living in south Texas Selena dominated radio, and it was the best of the best of times!
